EDD website shows payment but nothing in bank account - how long to wait?
Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with my EDD payment. The website says I got paid, but I don't see anything in my bank account. Has anyone else experienced this? How long does it usually take for the money to show up?

I found a way to solve EDD payment delay to bank, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06Z_m-jyfKs

This happens all the time. The EDD system updates before the banks do. Give it a couple of days, and it should show up in your account. If not, then you might wanna call them.

•Yep, this is the correct answer. EDD is always faster to update than banks. patience is key here

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. Saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo

•How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

•It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was ready.

Here's what you need to know about EDD payments and bank transfers: • EDD typically processes payments within 24-48 hours after certifying • Bank transfers can take 1-3 business days to complete • Weekends and holidays can delay transfers • Some banks show pending deposits, others don't until it's cleared • If it's been more than 5 business days, contact EDD • Double-check your payment method (direct deposit vs. debit card) • Verify your bank account info is correct in your EDD profile Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? 😂 jk jk... but seriously, EDD's tech is probably running on Windows 95 or something

•Windows 95? You're giving them too much credit. It's probably an abacus and a carrier pigeon 🐦

Same thing happened to me last month! The EDD portal showed "paid" but my checking account was empty for 3 days. Turns out my bank (Wells Fargo) was holding the deposit for verification. Called them and they said EDD payments sometimes get flagged for extra processing. Might be worth calling your bank too to see if they're holding it up on their end.

•That's really good to know about Wells Fargo! I'm with Chase - maybe they're doing something similar? I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if they're holding it for any reason. Thanks for sharing your experience!
