PFL payment delayed beyond 14 days - EDD notice said it'd arrive by now, what to do?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with EDD for months now. Have you tried checking your account online? Sometimes the payment shows up there before it hits your bank account.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Here's what you need to do when you call: 1. Have all your docs ready, especially that Sept 19 notice 2. Ask specifically about the status of your claim and why there's a delay 3. Get the name of the person you're talking to 4. Ask for a ticket number or reference for the call 5. If they can't help, ask to speak to a supervisor Don't let them brush you off. Be polite but firm. Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member? They can sometimes help speed things up with EDD.

Quick question - did you receive any kind of confirmation when you initially filed for Paid Family Leave? Might be worth double-checking all your paperwork to make sure everything was filed correctly.

Not to freak you out, but watch out for identity theft. There's been a lot of fraud with EDD lately. Make sure when you call that all your info is correct in their system.

guys. i just got off the phone with EDD. apparently theres a system-wide delay affecting PFL payments. they said it should be resolved in the next week or so. hang in there!
