PFL form not received from EDD - What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my disability claim. I was supposed to get my PFL form in the mail but it hasn't shown up yet. I tried calling the disability office but couldn't get through. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve PFL form delivery delay issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZPXso7QyeI

Ugh, I feel your pain. The disability office is a nightmare to deal with. I had the same problem last year and it took me weeks to get it sorted out. Have you tried checking online to see if you can download the form?

•Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't even think about checking online. I'll give that a try and see if I can find it there.

•Online is def the way to go these days. The mail system is so slow, you might be waiting forever lol 📬🐌

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this service? Is it legit?

•I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

Have you tried contacting your employer? Sometimes they can help expedite the process or provide you with the necessary forms. It's worth a shot!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check the EDD website for downloadable forms 2. Call your employer and ask if they can provide the form 3. If all else fails, try visiting a local EDD office in person (bring ID and any relevant documents) 4. Keep a record of all your attempts to contact them 5. Consider reaching out to your local representative for help Don't give up! It's frustrating, but persistence pays off. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: set calendar reminders to follow up regularly. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

I went through this exact same issue a few months ago! Here's what worked for me: I ended up going to the EDD website and creating an online account (if you don't have one already). From there, I was able to access most of the forms I needed digitally. Also, try calling first thing in the morning around 8am - I had better luck getting through then. If the PFL form specifically isn't available online, you can also try visiting your local EDD office with your ID and any documentation about your claim. Hope this helps and you get it sorted out soon! 🤞
