PFL claim suspended after reporting wages, no Form 2580GF received. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my Paid Family Leave claim. It got suspended after I reported wages from another job. Now I'm waiting on this form 2580GF, which I need to continue my claim, but I haven't received it yet. Anyone know how long it usually takes to get this form? Also, do they send it priority mail or just regular? I'm thinking about calling them, but we all know how that goes. Any advice on what to say or how to handle this?

Ugh, the PFL system is such a mess. I've been there, buddy. Usually, it takes about 7-10 business days to get that form after they process your claim. But who knows with how backed up they are these days 🙄

•Thanks for the info! It's been about two weeks now, so I guess I should probably give them a call. Any tips on what to say?

•Yeah, definitely call them. Be prepared to wait on hold forever tho. Just explain your situation calmly and ask if there's any way to expedite the form. Good luck!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting for hours. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get it, but for me, it was worth not having to sit on hold all day. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what you need to do: 1. Call PFL first thing in the morning when they open. Less wait time. 2. Have all your info ready - claim number, SSN, etc. 3. Explain clearly that you reported wages, your claim was suspended, and you haven't received form 2580GF. 4. Ask if there's a way to get the form sent electronically or expedited. 5. If they can't help, ask to speak with a supervisor. 6. Document everything - get the name of who you spoke with and any case numbers. Stay calm but be persistent. Don't hang up until you have a clear next step. Good luck!

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds old school, but sometimes it gets faster results than waiting for snail mail.

Pro tip: while you're waiting, gather all your employment docs. Pay stubs, offer letter, everything. Makes the process smoother once you get that form.

•Good idea! I'll start putting that together. Any specific docs I should make sure to include?

•Def include your last few pay stubs, any communication about your employment status change, and your initial job offer if you have it. Better to have too much than not enough!

Just a heads up, they never send anything priority mail unless you specifically request and pay for it. It's always regular snail mail. 🐌

I went through this exact same thing last year! The 2580GF form took almost 3 weeks to arrive for me, which was super frustrating. When I finally called (after waiting on hold for like 2 hours), they told me that sometimes the forms get delayed in their system. The rep was able to resend it electronically to my UI Online account, which was a lifesaver. Definitely ask about electronic delivery when you call - it's way faster than waiting for mail. Also, make sure your address is correct in the system because apparently that can cause delays too. Hang in there, the wait is brutal but you'll get through it! 💪

•Oh wow, 3 weeks is crazy! But that's super helpful to know about the electronic delivery option. I had no idea they could send it to the UI Online account. Definitely going to ask about that when I call. Thanks for sharing your experience - gives me hope that there's light at the end of the tunnel! 🙏

Same thing happened to me a few months ago! The whole reporting wages thing is such a pain. I ended up having to call multiple times before I got someone who could actually help. One thing that worked for me was calling right at 8am when they open - way shorter wait times. Also, when you do get through, ask them to check if your mailing address is correct in their system. Turns out mine was wrong and that's why my form never came. They were able to update it and send a new one electronically through the UI Online portal. Saved me like 2 more weeks of waiting! The whole system is a mess but hang in there - you'll get it sorted out eventually.

•This is so helpful to know about the mailing address issue! I never would have thought to check that. I've been assuming it was just typical EDD delays, but now I'm wondering if my address might be wrong in their system too. Definitely going to verify that first thing when I call. The 8am tip is gold too - I've been trying to call in the afternoon like an idiot. Thanks for sharing your experience, it's giving me a much better game plan! 🙌

I'm going through the exact same nightmare right now! My PFL claim got suspended 3 weeks ago after I reported wages from a part-time job I picked up, and I'm still waiting for that stupid 2580GF form. It's so frustrating because I need that money and they're making us jump through all these hoops. Reading through everyone's responses here is actually really helpful though - I had no idea about the electronic delivery option or that address issues could cause delays. Definitely going to try calling at 8am sharp tomorrow and ask about getting it sent to my UI Online account. This whole system is such a mess but at least we're all suffering together! 😅 Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and tips!
