PFL application stuck for over a month - need urgent help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my Paid Family Leave application. I submitted it over a month ago and still haven't heard back. They told me there were delays because of the holidays, but it's been way too long now. I really need these funds to support my family. Any advice on how to speed up the process or get someone to look at my application?

Ugh, I feel your pain! The PFL system is such a mess rn. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes getting a human on the phone can work wonders.

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting someone then!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration!

I get it, but for me, it was worth every penny. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what I'd recommend: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Try reaching out via email or their online portal if they have one. 3. Contact your local representative. Sometimes they can help push things along. 4. If all else fails, consider filing a formal complaint. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

Contacting your rep is solid advice. They helped me with my unemployment claim last year.

This is why we need to overhaul the entire system. It's ridiculous that people have to jump through so many hoops just to get the benefits they're entitled to. 😤

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a problem with my employer's info on the form. Might be worth double-checking all the details on your application.

Oh no, I hope that's not the case for me. But I'll definitely look into it. Thanks!

Have you considered reaching out to a local non-profit that specializes in family leave issues? They might have some insider knowledge or connections that could help.
