EDD claim stuck in limbo for 4+ days after manager promised to push it through - line went dead during follow-up call. Help!

I've been waiting for my claim to process for days now. Last time I called, they said they were working on it and a manager was supposed to push it through. It's been 4 days since then and still nothing. I called again today and the lady said she was reviewing my claim, then the line went dead for 30 minutes! Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get this resolved quickly?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with the same issue for weeks now. It's like they're purposely trying to make this as difficult as possible. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? I heard that's when you have the best chance of getting through.

I've tried calling at different times, but it's always the same story. Either I can't get through or I'm on hold forever. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call exactly at 8:01 AM. That's when their system resets and you have the best chance of getting in the queue. Good luck! 🍀

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

20 bucks to skip the hold time? Sign me up! 💸 Anything to avoid that awful hold music lol

Here's what I've learned from dealing with this nightmare for months: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every person you talk to, every promise made. 2. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 3. Ask for a supervisor if you're not getting anywhere with the regular agents. 4. File a complaint with your state representative or senator. Sometimes they can light a fire under the department. 5. Check your online account regularly for updates or messages. 6. If all else fails, consider contacting local media. Bad publicity can sometimes get things moving. Hang in there, OP. It's a broken system, but don't give up!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start documenting everything. I hadn't thought about contacting my state rep - that's a great idea.

This is gold 💯 Wish I had known all this when I started my claim. Took me 3 months to get it sorted!

I'm in the same boat, friend. Been waiting for 6 weeks now. The system is totally overwhelmed. Hang in there!

6 weeks?! That's insane. How are people supposed to survive while waiting that long? 😡

Pro tip: if you get disconnected, immediately call back and tell them you were on the line with an agent who was reviewing your claim. Sometimes they'll put you through to a supervisor who can help.

Oh, that's clever! I'll definitely try that next time. Thanks for the tip!

Anyone else notice that their online system is always "undergoing maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙄

0 coins

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It's like they don't want us to use it or something 🤔

Conspiracy theory: they do it on purpose to reduce the number of claims they have to process 👀

I feel for you, OP. The whole system is a joke. I've been trying to get my claim sorted for months. It's like they're playing hot potato with our lives.

Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes publicly shaming them gets results faster than going through official channels. Just sayin' 🤷‍♂️

This actually worked for me! I tweeted at them and got a DM within an hour. Worth a shot!
