Stuck on hold with payment dept for 1hr+ after they said they're 'working on claim'. Any tips to get through?
I've been on hold with the payment department for over an hour now. The lady said she was working on my claim, but I'm still just sitting here waiting. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get through faster?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was stuck in the same situation last week. It's so frustrating when they say they're 'working on it' but you're just left hanging. Have you tried calling at different times of the day? I found early morning worked best for me.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll try calling first thing tomorrow morning. Did you have to explain your whole situation again or did they have your info on file?

•They had most of my info, but I still had to go over some details. Bring a coffee and be ready for a wait, just in case! 😅

•Early morning didn't work for me at all 😭 I had better luck calling right after lunch. I guess it depends on the day?

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

•idk man, seems kinda sketchy. Why should we have to pay to get basic service? 🤔

•I get it, it does seem unfair. But for me, the time saved was worth it. Just sharing what worked 🤷♂️

Have you tried reaching out through their online portal? Sometimes that's faster than calling, especially for payment issues. Just make sure you have all your claim details ready!

•Months??? That's insane! Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with the payment department for way too long: 1. Keep a log of all your calls (date, time, who you spoke to) 2. Have all your documents ready before you call 3. Be polite but firm - remember, the person on the other end is probably overwhelmed too 4. If you're not getting anywhere, ask to speak to a supervisor 5. Consider reaching out to your local government representative for help 6. Use their online portal for simple queries if possible 7. If all else fails, be prepared to file a formal complaint Stay persistent and don't give up. It's frustrating, but eventually you'll get through to someone who can help. Good luck!

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping a log. Have you had success with asking for a supervisor?

•Yes, asking for a supervisor has worked for me a couple times. They seem to have more authority to actually resolve issues. Just be prepared for another wait to speak with one!

Have you tried calling exactly at opening time? I've had luck getting through faster that way. Also, make sure you're calling the right department for your specific issue. Sometimes they transfer you around if you're not in the right queue.

I've been in your exact situation before! One trick that worked for me was calling back and explaining that I had already been speaking with someone and got disconnected. Sometimes they'll transfer you to a different queue or prioritize your call. Also, if you're still on hold, try pressing 0 or saying "representative" - sometimes it bypasses the automated system. The wait times are absolutely brutal, but don't hang up if you can help it. Your spot in line might be gone if you call back. Hang in there! 🤞
