EDD Paid Family Leave payment delayed 3+ weeks due to system glitch - only 'super users' can fix?
Has anyone else had issues with their paid family leave payment being delayed due to a system glitch? I was supposed to get paid 3 weeks ago, but there's apparently some error that only 'super users' can fix. Regular reps can't do anything, and when they try to process the payment, it just times out. I'm getting really frustrated and worried about bills piling up. Any advice on how to get this resolved faster?

I found a way to solve paid family leave payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FXURyjZVG8

Ugh, I'm in the same boat! 🚢 Been waiting for my payment for over a month now. Every time I call, they give me the same BS about 'system issues' and 'escalating' my case. Still nothing. It's like they're playing hot potato with our claims.

•A month?! That's insane. Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under EDD's a**.

•Nah, I haven't tried that yet. Didn't even cross my mind tbh. You think it'd actually help?

•It's worth a shot! I've heard success stories. Just google your district and send them an email explaining the situation. Can't hurt to try, right?

•True that. I'll give it a go. Thanks for the tip! 👍

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•20 bucks to skip the hold time? Sign me up! 🙌 How long did it take to get through?

•It took about 45 minutes for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way better than spending all day trying to get through yourself.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD's system glitches and payment delays: 1. Document everything: Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what they said. 2. Escalate, escalate, escalate: Always ask to speak to a supervisor or manager. 3. Use multiple channels: Phone, email, and even social media. Sometimes tweeting at them can get a response. 4. Contact your local assembly member or state senator: They can often intervene on your behalf. 5. File a formal complaint: Use the EDD's official complaint process. 6. Be persistent but polite: The person on the other end isn't personally responsible for the system issues. 7. Check your online account regularly: Sometimes updates appear there before you're notified. 8. Join Facebook groups or forums: Other claimants might have workarounds or insider tips. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

•Great advice! I'd add one more thing: if you can, try calling right when they open. Sometimes you can catch them before the queue gets crazy.

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're purposely making it difficult so people just give up.

•Ikr? We pay into this system our whole working lives, and when we need it, it's a total clown show. 🤡

Has anyone tried contacting the media about these ongoing issues? Maybe if there was more public pressure, they'd finally fix their broken system.

Quick question - when you say 'super users', do you mean like IT people or just higher-level reps? Trying to figure out who exactly I should be asking for when I call.

•From what I understand, they're specialized reps with more system access. But tbh, I'm not 100% sure. The regular reps just keep saying they don't have the 'tools' to fix it. 🤷♂️

•Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. Guess I'll just keep asking to escalate until I hit the right person. This is such a headache 😩
