EDD Family Leave application keeps failing - system still broken?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to apply for family leave through EDD but I'm running into some issues. My husband tried to submit the application but it looks like there's still a problem with the system. Has anyone else experienced this recently? Any tips on how to get through or what we should do next? I'm getting pretty frustrated with the whole process.

Ugh, I feel your pain! The EDD system is a total nightmare rn. I've been trying to apply for weeks and keep getting error messages. It's like they don't want us to get the benefits we're entitled to 🙄

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Here's what worked for me: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies 2. Try using a different browser (I had luck with Firefox) 3. Apply early in the morning or late at night when the system is less busy 4. Double-check all your info before submitting 5. Pro tip: if you're getting errors, try taking screenshots. Sometimes the EDD asks for proof of your attempts if you end up having to file an appeal or complaint.
