EDD Binding Time Claim: Submitted Docs, No Payment Yet. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I submitted all the supporting documents for my binding time claim, but I still haven't been paid. It's been a while and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next? I really need this money and the waiting is killing me.

Ugh, I feel you. The system is so broken rn. I've been waiting for MONTHS to get paid after submitting my docs. It's like they just throw our paperwork into a black hole or something. Have you tried calling them? That's what I did, but be prepared to wait on hold forever.

•Calling is useless. I spent 3 hours on hold last week and got disconnected. TWICE. 🤬

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in like 20 mins doing that.

•Thanks for the tips! Yeah, calling is a nightmare but sometimes it's the only way to get answers. I'll try the opening time trick next time.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•I've heard of this! My friend used it and said it saved her hours of frustration. Might be worth it if you're desperate.

•Yeah, it really does work. I was skeptical too, but after spending days trying to get through, $20 felt worth it. Saved me so much time and stress.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check all your submitted documents. Make sure nothing's missing or incorrect. 2. If everything looks good, try contacting them through their online portal. Sometimes they respond faster there. 3. If that doesn't work, call them. Be persistent. Ask for a supervisor if the first person can't help. 4. Keep a log of all your interactions - dates, times, who you spoke to. 5. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes expedite things. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there.

have you tried faxing your documents? i know it sounds old school but it worked for me when the online submission kept glitching

Oof, binding time claims are the WORST. I swear they purposely make it complicated so people give up. Hang in there, OP! 💪

•Fr fr. The whole system needs an overhaul. It's 2023, why does everything still feel like it's running on Windows 95? 🙄

Not to be that guy, but did you check if you submitted everything correctly? I thought I did everything right and it turned out I missed checking one tiny box on page 3. Took me weeks to figure it out.

•I'm pretty sure I did, but now you've got me paranoid. Gonna triple-check everything tonight!
