EDD Benefits Delayed 3+ Months - Anyone Else Stuck in Limbo?
Anyone else dealing with crazy long delays for their benefits? I've been waiting for 3 months now and still nothing. This is getting ridiculous. How are we supposed to survive like this?

3 months?! That's insane. I thought my 6-week wait was bad. Have you tried calling them? Maybe there's an issue with your claim that needs to be resolved.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's like their phone lines are permanently busy. 😫

•Same here. I spent hours trying to get through last week. It's like trying to win the lottery or something.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I feel ya, OP. The system is totally broken. I've been waiting for 2 months myself. It's like they don't even care that people are struggling to pay bills and put food on the table.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there are pending issues or required documents that they don't tell you about. It's worth double-checking.

•Yeah, I've checked it like a million times. Everything looks fine on my end. It's just radio silence from them. 🤷♂️

Guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After months of frustration, I was able to talk to a real person and get my issue resolved. Worth every penny imo.

This is ridiculous. We need to start contacting our representatives and demanding action. The EDD can't keep getting away with this level of incompetence.

•100% agree. I've already sent emails to my state rep. The more of us that speak up, the better chance we have of seeing some real change.

Hey everyone, I used to work for the EDD, so let me break down what might be causing these delays and what you can do about it: 1. Backlog: The system is overwhelmed with claims, causing massive delays. 2. Identity verification: Many claims are held up due to ID issues. Make sure all your docs are uploaded correctly. 3. Incomplete information: Double-check that you've filled out everything correctly. 4. System glitches: Unfortunately, the EDD's tech is outdated and prone to errors. What you can do: - Keep calling. Yes, it's frustrating, but it's often the only way to get answers. - Use the online portal to send messages and check for updates. - Consider reaching out to your local assemblyperson or state senator. They can sometimes expedite claims. - If you're in dire straits, look into local food banks and assistance programs while you wait. Hang in there, everyone. I know it's tough, but keep pushing!

•Question: How long does the ID verification usually take? I submitted mine weeks ago and still nothing.

•ID verification can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks, unfortunately. If it's been more than 3 weeks, definitely try to get in touch with them.

Has anyone tried going to their local EDD office in person? I'm thinking of giving that a shot since nothing else seems to be working.

•I tried that last month. Waited in line for 3 hours only to be told they couldn't help me and I needed to call the main number. Total waste of time. 😤

•Depends on your local office. Some are more helpful than others. Might be worth a shot if you're out of options.
