FMLA benefits 5+ months delayed - called 3x, still no payments. Help!
I've been waiting for my Family Medical Leave benefits payments for over 5 months now. I've called them 3 times already and still haven't received anything. Has anyone else experienced such long delays? Any advice on how to speed up the process? I'm getting really frustrated and could use some help.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. It took me almost 7 months to get my first payment. The system is so broken, its ridiculous.

•7 months?! That's insane. How did you manage to survive that long without the benefits?

•It was tough, not gonna lie. Had to borrow money from family and max out my credit cards. Still recovering financially tbh 😓

•This is why we need serious reform in our benefits system. People shouldn't have to go into debt waiting for what they're entitled to!

Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along. I had to do that when my case was stuck for months.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds interesting, but $20 just to talk to someone? That's kinda steep...

•I know it seems like a lot, but considering how much time and frustration it saved me, it was worth every penny. Got my issue resolved in one call!

•Is this legit? Seems too good to be true. Has anyone else tried it?

•Totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of hold time.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what they said. 2. Send a formal written request for an update on your case. Use certified mail so you have proof they received it. 3. File a complaint with your state's labor department. 4. Reach out to your local media if all else fails. Sometimes public pressure can work wonders. It's a long process, but persistence is key. Don't give up!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start documenting everything. Do you have any tips on what exactly to say in the formal written request?

•Sure! Be polite but firm. Include your claim number, the dates you've called, and ask for a specific timeline for when you can expect a resolution. Also, request a written response within a reasonable timeframe (like 10 business days).

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes updates are posted there before they actually send out payments. Might give you an idea of where your claim stands.

This happened to me too! Turns out they had my address wrong in the system, so all my mail was going to the wrong place. Double-check all your info with them!

•Oh wow, I hadn't even thought of that. I'll definitely check on this, thanks!
