EDD Baby Bonding Claim Filed in October - No Payment Received Yet. Help!
I filed for Baby Bonding in October and still haven't received any payment. It's been months and I'm getting really worried. Has anyone else experienced long delays with their Baby Bonding claims? Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get some information about the status of my claim?

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

•20 bucks tho? That's steep for something that should be free 😒

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD. 2. Reach out to your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. 3. Be persistent with calling. Use the trick of pressing 1 for Spanish, then 1 again for English. Sometimes gets you through faster. 4. Check your UI Online account daily for any updates or requests for additional info. 5. If you can, try faxing your documents. Sometimes they process faxed docs faster. Hang in there, OP. The system is overwhelmed but keep pushing!

Quick question - did you receive any kind of confirmation when you filed? Might be worth double-checking that your claim actually went through
