Adoption case payment delay since Jan 24 - submitted docs yesterday, told to call back today. Any advice to speed up process?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a situation here. I submitted some documents yesterday for my adoption case, and they told me to call back today to check if they can process my payment. It's been owed since January 24th, which is frustrating. Has anyone else dealt with delays like this? Any advice on how to speed up the process?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting on a payment for months too. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us. Have you tried calling them every single day? That's what I've been doing, and I think I'm finally making some progress.

Calling everyday? Ain't nobody got time for that! š« I tried that once and my phone bill was through the roof.

I hear ya, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I've been calling twice a week and it seems to be working. Slow progress is still progress, right?

Yeah, it's a pain but it's the only way I've found to get any traction. Just gotta keep at it šŖ

Listen up, folks. I've been through this rodeo before, and here's what I've learned: ā¢ Document everything. Every call, every email, every piece of paper you submit. Keep a log. ā¢ Ask for a supervisor if you're not getting anywhere with the first person you talk to. ā¢ Be persistent but polite. Getting angry won't help your case. ā¢ If possible, submit documents in person and get a receipt. ā¢ Check if there's an ombudsman or advocate you can reach out to. ā¢ Consider contacting your local representative. Sometimes they can help push things along. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

Contacting my rep actually worked for me! Took a few weeks, but things started moving after that.

Have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds like we're back in the 90s, but sometimes these old school methods work better with government agencies.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

This whole system is broken af. Why do we have to jump through so many hoops just to get what we're owed? It's like they're trying to make us give up. š¤¬

Hey OP, congrats on the adoption! That's awesome. Sorry you're dealing with this bureaucratic nonsense tho. Hang in there!

Thanks so much! Yeah, it's been a rollercoaster but we're so happy. Just wish the paperwork side of things was smoother.

Careful with that approach. It might backfire and make them even less cooperative. š¬
