When is my next SDI disability payment coming? Need help checking payment date

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out when my next SDI disability payment is coming. Anyone know how to check this? I've been waiting for a while and I'm getting anxious about bills piling up. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated!

I feel ya, buddy. The waiting game with SDI is the worst. Have you tried logging into your EDD account online? Sometimes they post payment info there, but it's not always up to date.

Yeah, I've checked online but it doesn't show anything new. Just says my claim is active. So frustrating!

Pro tip: call them early in the morning, like right when they open. You might have better luck getting through to a real person that way.

lol good luck with that. I've been trying to call for weeks and can never get through šŸ™„

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so annoying that they don't give us a clear schedule for payments. I've been waiting for almost 3 weeks now and I'm getting really worried.

Hey, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

Hmm, interesting. How long did you have to wait once they started calling?

It took about an hour, but I just went about my day and they called me when an agent was on the line. Way better than being stuck on hold myself!

Here's what I know about SDI payments: • They're usually bi-weekly, but can vary • First payment might take longer due to processing • Payments are typically issued within 14 days after certification • You can check payment status on the EDD website or mobile app • If it's been more than 14 days, definitely try to contact them Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks for the detailed info! It's been about 16 days since my last payment, so I guess I should try to get in touch with them.

This is super helpful, thanks for breaking it down! šŸ‘

have u tried faxing them? I know it sounds old school but sometimes it works when nothing else does lol

What year is it, 1995? 🤣 But for real, that's not a bad idea. Government agencies love their fax machines.

I swear the whole system is designed to make us give up. Been dealing with this nonsense for months now. MONTHS! 😤

Preach! šŸ™Œ It's like they want us to suffer or something.

Hang in there, friend. We're all in this together. Don't let the system win!

Quick question - did you make sure to certify for your benefits on time? Sometimes a delay in certification can hold up payments.

0 coins

Yep, I always certify as soon as I can. That's not the issue unfortunately.

Anyone else notice that the payment dates seem to change randomly? Like one month it's the 1st and 15th, then suddenly it's the 3rd and 17th. Makes budgeting a nightmare šŸ™ƒ

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling your local EDD office instead. Sometimes they can help or at least give you more info.

This! šŸ’Æ Local offices are usually less swamped and more helpful.
