SDI payment missing from account today - payment history shows last deposit 2/7?
I'm freaking out a little because my disability payment should have hit my account today (2/21) but there's nothing showing up. My payment history on SDI Online shows my last deposit was on 2/7, which is correct, but today's payment isn't even showing as 'issued' or 'pending' - there's just nothing there! I certified on time and haven't changed anything with my claim. My medical provider submitted all the required paperwork for my ongoing back injury, and I'm still within my claim period. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm supposed to pay rent in a week and I'm getting anxious about this delay. Should I wait another day or two before calling EDD? Their phone system is such a nightmare but I'm worried something's wrong with my claim. Looking at my previous payments, they've always been processed every two weeks like clockwork until now.

This happened to me last month, it randomly showed up 2 days late. EDD systems can be really glitchy sometimes. I'd wait at least one more business day before panicking!!!

•Thanks for sharing your experience! Did your payment history eventually update to show the payment was issued, or did it just appear in your bank account without warning? I'm checking both constantly.

call them RIGHT NOW!!!! dont wait. i had this EXACT problem in december and turns out they needed additional info from my doctor but never told me!!! waited 3 weeks thinking it would resolve itself and ended up missing rent deadline. the system is completely broken.

This could be happening for a few different reasons: 1. There might be a processing delay at EDD (more common in 2025 with their new system update) 2. Your doctor may have missed submitting a continuation certification if you're past 3 months 3. Your benefit year might have ended, requiring a new claim 4. There could be a hold on your claim requiring additional information I'd recommend checking if you received any notices in your SDI Online inbox. Look under the "Messages" tab - sometimes they send requests for information there that people miss. If there's nothing there, you should definitely call EDD SDI to check. It's always better to address payment issues early rather than waiting and having them compound.

•Thanks for the detailed response. I checked my inbox and there aren't any new messages. My benefit year definitely hasn't ended yet (started in December), and my doctor submitted the continuation certification just last month. I'm guessing it might be the system update you mentioned causing delays. I'll try calling tomorrow, but I've never been able to get through to a real person.

After being in SDI payment hell for months, I finally discovered Claimyr (claimyr.com) and it saved me when I had a similar payment issue. They connect you directly to an EDD representative instead of dealing with the constant busy signals. I watched their demo video (https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ?si=1hcSq3KFtCr4oAmd) and decided to try it when my payments suddenly stopped for no reason. Got connected to an agent in about 30 minutes who fixed my claim issue on the spot. My payment showed up the next day. Definitely worth considering if you can't get through on your own.

•I've never heard of this service before. Did you have to provide a lot of personal information to use it? I'm desperate to talk to someone but also cautious about sharing my info with third-party services.

•I was hesitant too, but it just gets you through to the actual EDD line - you still talk directly to EDD agents. You only provide what's needed to get a callback. It's basically just a way to skip the busy signals and actually get into the phone queue. After trying to call for 3 straight days with no luck, it was a lifesaver for me.

Have you checked your bank account directly today? Sometimes the SDI Online portal lags behind the actual payment processing. I've had payments show up in my bank account a full day before they appeared in my payment history on the SDI website. Also, there was a recent announcement about system maintenance on the EDD website scheduled for the 20th - could be related to that. It might have delayed some of the payment processing by a day or two. If it doesn't show up by tomorrow, definitely call them. Payment delays usually get resolved pretty quickly once you actually reach someone.

•I've been checking my bank account obsessively! Nothing there either. I didn't know about the system maintenance - that could explain it. I'll give it until tomorrow afternoon and then try to call. Thanks for the reassurance.

UPDATE: My payment finally came through this morning! There was indeed a system delay due to the maintenance. It never showed as "issued" in my payment history - it just appeared in my bank account suddenly. Thank you everyone for your advice and reassurance!

•That's great news! For future reference, these system maintenance delays typically last 1-3 business days. The SDI payment system seems to get these glitches quite often lately as they upgrade their infrastructure. Glad everything resolved itself without having to make those dreaded phone calls!
