SDI: Sent forms to confirm SSN & W2, how long until they confirm receipt and first payment?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a situation with SDI. I sent in some forms to confirm my SSN and W2 copies, but now I'm just waiting to hear back. Anyone know how long it usually takes for them to confirm they got everything? And any idea when I might see my first payment? My last day of work was early November, if that helps. Thanks in advance!

I found a way to solve SDI payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1-U0fEea1o

Ugh, the waiting game with SDI is the worst! I was in a similar boat last year. It took them about 3 weeks to confirm they received my docs, and then another 2 weeks for the first payment to come through. Hang in there!

3 weeks?! 😩 That's so long. Did you do anything to speed up the process?

0 coins

Nah, unfortunately not. I tried calling but it was impossible to get through. Just had to wait it out. 🤷‍♂️

Same here. The waiting is brutal. I swear they do it on purpose to see who really needs the money 🙄

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yep, 100% legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

I've heard about this! A friend used it and said it was a game-changer. Might have to try it myself.

Here's what I know about the SDI process: • They're supposed to process docs within 10 business days • First payments usually come 2-3 weeks after they confirm everything's good • If you haven't heard anything after 2 weeks, definitely try to contact them • Make sure you certified for benefits if required (depends on your claim type) • Keep an eye on your online account for updates Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

This is super helpful, thank you! I'll keep an eye on my online account. Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long. 🤞

Great info! Just wanna add that sometimes they don't update the online account right away, so don't panic if you don't see changes immediately.

Have you tried faxing your documents instead of mailing them? I've heard it can be faster. Also, make sure you keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. They've been known to 'lose' paperwork.

I didn't even think about faxing! That's a good idea. And yeah, I made copies of everything just in case. Thanks for the tip!

Oof, early November? You might be in for a wait, my dude. End of year is always crazy busy for them. But don't lose hope! Keep trying to contact them and stay on top of your claim. You got this! 💪

Yeah, holiday season is the WORST time to deal with govt agencies. Everyone's tryna get stuff done before the new year 🙄

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? It's like they're playing 4D chess and we're playing checkers 🤡

Preach! 🙌 I swear they make it complicated on purpose

Nah, never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence. The system's just old and underfunded.

Maybe ur right. but it sure FEELS malicious when ur broke and waiting on them 😤
