Need help checking SDI claim status without filing date - any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to check on the status of my SDI claim but I'm not sure how long ago I filed it. I was driving when I tried to look it up and couldn't remember the exact date. Any advice on how to find out the status without knowing the filing date?

First things first, don't check your claim status while driving! Safety first, my dude. 🚗💨 As for finding out your status, you can log into your SDI account online. They usually have a record of all your claims and their filing dates. If you can't access that, give them a call when you're not behind the wheel.

Good advice! I always forget about the online account option. It's way easier than calling most of the time.

Ugh, dealing with SDI is such a pain. I've been waiting on my claim for weeks and still no update. The system is so broken, I swear.

Preach! 🙌 I'm in the same boat. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get the benefits we deserve.

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you can get more info that way, even if it's a hassle to get through.

Yeah, I've tried calling but I always get stuck on hold forever. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting for hours. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so messed up.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta pay to play, ya know?

I've used it too. It's legit. Expensive, yeah, but worth it if you're desperate to get through.

Here's what you need to do to check your SDI claim status: 1. Go to the EDD website and log into your account 2. Look for the 'Claim History' or 'Claim Status' section 3. If you can't find the filing date, look for any correspondence from EDD in your email 4. If all else fails, call the SDI office directly (have your SSN ready) Remember, patience is key. The system can be slow, but keep at it. Good luck!

Have you tried checking your email? Sometimes EDD sends confirmation emails when you file a claim. Might help you pinpoint the date.
