How long for CA EDD to process claim? Filed Friday, need timeline
Hey everyone, I'm trying to process my claim and it's been a while. I'm in California and wondering if anyone knows how long it typically takes? It's Friday afternoon now, so I'm guessing nothing will happen over the weekend. Any ideas on what to expect?

I found a way to solve California EDD claim processing delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkXnCEEih9E

Ugh, I feel ya. I've been waiting for WEEKS to get my claim processed. It's like they're moving at a snail's pace or something. Have you tried calling them? That might speed things up.

•I haven't tried calling yet. Is it worth it? I heard the wait times are crazy long.

•Honestly, it's hit or miss. Sometimes you get lucky and only wait an hour, other times you're on hold all day and get nowhere. But it might be worth a shot if you're getting desperate.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have a better chance of getting through.

California EDD is notoriously slow, especially since the pandemic hit. It could take anywhere from 2-6 weeks for them to process your claim. Hang in there!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? 🤔

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. It saved me hours of frustration.

•$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 🤮

•I know, it sucks that we have to pay. But for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved.

Here's what I've learned from my experience with California EDD: • Processing times vary wildly, but expect at least 2-3 weeks • Weekends and holidays don't count as processing days • If there are any issues with your claim, it could take much longer • Calling can help, but be prepared for long wait times • Check your online account regularly for updates • Make sure all your documentation is in order to avoid delays Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

•2 months?! That's insane. Have you tried contacting your local representative? I've heard that can sometimes help.

•Nah, I haven't. Might give that a shot tho. At this point, I'm willing to try anything 😅

Quick question - did you file online or by mail? I've heard online applications tend to be processed faster.

•I filed online. Hopefully that means it'll be quicker!
