Filed SDI claim, not sure if it went through. Help?

Hey everyone, I just filed my SDI claim and I'm not sure if it went through properly. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm a bit worried because I really need this to work out. Any advice on how to check the status or what to do next would be really helpful!

I found a way to solve SDI claim filing issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBQp0SkGD28

Ugh, welcome to the club šŸ™„ SDI claims are such a headache. I filed mine like 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back. The system is so broken, its ridiculous.

Same here! I've been waiting for over a month now. It's like they don't even care about us šŸ˜¤

Guys, have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can speed things up.

LOL good luck getting through on the phone. I've tried calling like 50 times and always get the 'we're too busy' message šŸ¤”

I feel your pain, OP. The SDI system can be really confusing. Here's what I've learned from my experience: ā€¢ After you file, you should receive a confirmation number. Did you get one? ā€¢ Check your mail regularly. They often send important documents through snail mail. ā€¢ Log into your SDI account online. Sometimes you can see updates there. ā€¢ If it's been more than 2 weeks, try calling them. Yes, it's hard to get through, but keep trying. ā€¢ Make sure all your paperwork is in order. Any missing docs can delay the process. Hang in there! It's a frustrating process, but eventually it does work out for most people.

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I did get a confirmation number, so that's a relief. I'll keep an eye on my mail and try logging in online.

This is really helpful info. Wish I had known all this when I first filed!

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous, we shouldn't have to pay for basic customer service šŸ˜”

I get the skepticism, but honestly, after spending hours trying to get through, $20 was worth it to me. Saved me so much time and stress.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

Sure! You choose the department you need, pay, and then they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. No guarantee, but it worked for me first try.

idk man, sometimes these claims just disappear into the void. I filed 2 months ago and still nothing. Starting to think its all a scam šŸ¤”

Have you checked if your employer submitted their part of the claim? That can hold things up if they're slow.

Oh, I didn't even think about that! I'll check with my HR department. Thanks for the tip!

Protip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online update. You never know when you'll need to prove you've been trying to resolve this.
