EDD thinks I'm back at work, no payments since January. Help!
I haven't received any unemployment payments since January. The EDD thinks I went back to work, but I'm still on medical leave. I sent them my doctor's extension and everything they asked for, but I'm still waiting. Has anyone else dealt with this? What should I do next?

Ugh, classic EDD mixup. I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get things sorted out.

•I've been trying to call for weeks, but I can never get through. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through that way.

•Calling is useless, I've wasted hours on hold. There's gotta be a better way 🤔

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait for the callback?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but it beats sitting on hold all day!

Here's what you need to do to resolve this issue with EDD: 1. Document everything: Keep a record of all your communications, including dates you sent documents. 2. Contact your state representative: They can often help push things through. 3. File an appeal: If you've been denied benefits, you have the right to appeal. 4. Use the AskEDD feature on their website: Sometimes you can get a response faster this way. 5. If all else fails, consider legal aid: There are organizations that provide free legal assistance for EDD issues. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes there are messages or requests for additional info there that they don't send by mail.

Have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds ancient, but sometimes it works better than online submissions.

This happened to my cousin. Turns out there was a glitch in the system that marked a bunch of people as 'returned to work' by mistake. Keep pushing, they'll sort it out eventually!
