EDD says my SDI medical certification is inadmissible, but it's showing as submitted online. What now?
I got a notice saying my medical certification for my SDI claim was inadmissible. But I'm 100% sure I submitted it! I can see it right there on my online SDI account. Has anyone else dealt with this? What should I do now?

Ugh, classic EDD nonsense. 🙄 I've been there before. Here's what you need to do: 1. Take screenshots of your online SDI account showing the submitted certificate. 2. Write a formal appeal letter explaining the situation. 3. Include copies of any confirmation emails or submission receipts. 4. Send everything via certified mail to EDD. 5. Follow up with a phone call (good luck getting through lol) 6. Keep bugging them until it's resolved. Stay persistent! The system is broken, but you gotta fight for your rights.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a log of all your communications with EDD. It'll help if you need to escalate later.

•Yep, documentation is key. I learned that the hard way 😩

•Thanks for the detailed steps! I'll definitely start with the screenshots. Any idea how long the appeal process usually takes?

•In my experience, it can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks. But with EDD, who knows? 🤷♂️ Just keep following up regularly.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•100% legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

•I get it, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Time is money, ya know?

have you tried emailing DIOnlineSupport@edd.ca.gov? Sometimes they actually respond and it's easier than calling

•A glitch? That's both reassuring and frustrating. How long did it take you to get it sorted out?

Welcome to the wonderful world of EDD incompetence! 🎉 Where your documents magically disappear and customer service is a mythical creature. 🦄

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.

•I hadn't even thought of that! Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

•Just google '[your area] state representative' and you should find their office contact info. Give em a call and explain your situation.
