EDD says my SDI medical certification is inadmissible, but it's showing as submitted online. What now?

I got a notice saying my medical certification for my SDI claim was inadmissible. But I'm 100% sure I submitted it! I can see it right there on my online SDI account. Has anyone else dealt with this? What should I do now?

I found a way to solve EDD medical certification inadmissibility issue, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0tW_lRHu6Q

Ugh, classic EDD nonsense. 🙄 I've been there before. Here's what you need to do: 1. Take screenshots of your online SDI account showing the submitted certificate. 2. Write a formal appeal letter explaining the situation. 3. Include copies of any confirmation emails or submission receipts. 4. Send everything via certified mail to EDD. 5. Follow up with a phone call (good luck getting through lol) 6. Keep bugging them until it's resolved. Stay persistent! The system is broken, but you gotta fight for your rights.

This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a log of all your communications with EDD. It'll help if you need to escalate later.

Yep, documentation is key. I learned that the hard way 😩

Thanks for the detailed steps! I'll definitely start with the screenshots. Any idea how long the appeal process usually takes?

In my experience, it can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks. But with EDD, who knows? 🤷‍♂️ Just keep following up regularly.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

100% legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

20 bucks to skip the hold? Sign me up! 💸

Idk man, paying to talk to a government agency feels wrong. The system is so broken 😤

I get it, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Time is money, ya know?

have you tried emailing DIOnlineSupport@edd.ca.gov? Sometimes they actually respond and it's easier than calling

omg this happened to me last month! turns out it was a glitch in there system. keep calling and eventually youll get someone who can fix it. good luck!

A glitch? That's both reassuring and frustrating. How long did it take you to get it sorted out?

0 coins

it took about 2 weeks of calling everyday 😫 but once I got the right person, they fixed it in like 5 minutes

Welcome to the wonderful world of EDD incompetence! 🎉 Where your documents magically disappear and customer service is a mythical creature. 🦄

lmao too real 😂 EDD should change their name to EDDontExpectHelp

Y'all are hilarious 🤣 but for real, this stuff is so stressful

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.

0 coins

I hadn't even thought of that! Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

0 coins

Just google '[your area] state representative' and you should find their office contact info. Give em a call and explain your situation.

Ive been dealing with EDD for 6 months now. heres my advice: document EVERYTHING. save emails, take screenshots, write down names of ppl you talk to. youll need it trust me
