EDD not receiving Physician/Practitioner Supplementary Certificate - What to do?

Has anyone else had trouble with EDD not receiving their forms? I sent in my Physician/Practitioner Supplementary Certificate over a week ago and the post office says it was delivered, but EDD hasn't confirmed they got it. I'm really worried because if they don't get this form, my benefits could be cancelled. Anyone know how long it usually takes for them to process these forms? Or what I should do if they never received it?

I found a way to solve EDD form delivery delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VArAHIJPecU

Not to be that guy, but have you double-checked that you sent it to the correct address? I made that mistake once and it set me back weeks 😅

0 coins

-

Sean Flanagan

Oof, that must've been frustrating. But yeah, I triple-checked the address before sending

It's always good to verify. Even a small error can lead to big delays.

Pro tip: If you're really desperate, try reaching out on social media. Sometimes their Twitter team is more responsive than the actual customer service.

Really? I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the tip!

Ugh, I feel your pain. EDD is a nightmare to deal with. I sent in my forms THREE WEEKS AGO and still nothing. Its like they're purposely trying to make this as difficult as possible đŸ¤Ŧ

It's unbelievable how inconsistent they are. I've heard of people waiting over a month!

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should cut EDD some slack. They're dealing with unprecedented numbers of claims and probably doing their best.

I get what ur saying, but when ppl cant pay rent or buy food, "doing their best" isnt good enough

Fair point. I'm just trying to see it from all sides. The system definitely needs improvement tho

yall ever think about how much easier this would be if EDD just had a decent website and actually staffed their call centers? 🤔 wild concept, i know

Friendly reminder to everyone: Take care of your mental health while dealing with this stress. It's okay to step away from the EDD stuff for a bit if it's overwhelming you. ❤ī¸

PSA: If you're having trouble with EDD, document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online message. You never know when you might need that info.

This! I keep a spreadsheet with dates, times, and names of everyone I talk to. It's saved my butt more than once.

Serious question: has anyone had luck getting help from their state representative? I've heard some people say it helped speed things up.

I tried this! It actually worked. Took about 2 weeks but they helped push my case through.

I'm in the same boat. Sent my forms 2 weeks ago and radio silence. This whole process is making me lose my mind. How are we supposed to survive when they can't even confirm if they got a piece of paper??

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for months: 1. Always send important documents via certified mail. It costs more but gives you proof of delivery. 2. Keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. You might need to resend. 3. Follow up regularly. Don't assume they received or processed your forms. 4. If possible, fax your documents. It's faster and you get a confirmation. 5. Be persistent. Call, email, and use their online portal to check status. 6. Consider contacting your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system is overwhelmed and things fall through the cracks. Stay on top of it and don't give up!

Dealing with the EDD can be incredibly frustrating, but there are a few things you can do to help improve your situation. First, ensure that you send any forms via certified mail. This provides you with a tracking number and proof of delivery. Additionally, keeping detailed records of all communications, including phone calls and emails, can be a lifesaver. It's also worth reaching out to your state representative if you feel like your case is stuck; many people have reported success with this approach. As for Claimyr, it's a good service to consider if you are at your wits end and need to get through to EDD. However, it does come with a cost, so weigh the benefits against your budget. Lastly, patience and persistence are key. The system may be overloaded, but staying proactive and thorough in your approach will help mitigate some of the stress.
