EDD hasn't paid pregnancy disability claim from February - help!
Has anyone else had issues with EDD not paying their disability claim for pregnancy? I filed back in February and still haven't received anything. It's been months and I'm getting really frustrated. Any advice on how to get this resolved?

I found a way to solve EDD pregnancy disability claim delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRnoVnWHlVg

Ugh, I'm in the same boat! Filed in March and crickets since then. Have you tried calling them? I've been trying for weeks but can never get through 😤

•I've tried calling so many times, but always get the 'we're experiencing high call volume' message. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Thats kinda steep for just a phone call...

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•It took about an hour and a half, but I was able to do other things while waiting. When an agent picked up, my phone rang and I was connected.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD. 2. Reach out to your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 3. File a formal complaint with EDD. Sometimes this can expedite your case. 4. If all else fails, consider contacting a lawyer specializing in disability claims. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed, but you're entitled to your benefits.

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep. Didn't even think of that!

This is ridiculous! The EDD system is completely broken. We pay into this, and when we need it, we can't even get basic support. Time for some serious reform! 😡

•Preach! 👏 The whole system needs an overhaul. It's a joke at this point.

•Maybe if we all complain to our representatives, something will change? Strength in numbers, right?

Just a heads up, there was a glitch in EDDs system back in February that affected a bunch of pregnancy claims. They said they fixed it, but clearly some ppl are still having issues. Might be worth mentioning when u finally get thru to someone.

•Oh wow, I had no idea about this glitch. That could explain a lot. Thanks for the info!

Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes tweeting at EDD or messaging them on Facebook can get a response. Worth a shot! 🤷♀️
