EDD SDI payment shows 'paid' since Monday but nothing on BofA card - anyone else?
Getting really frustrated with my disability payments! The EDD website shows my payment was processed on Monday (two days ago), but my Bank of America card still hasn't been loaded with funds. Normally I get an email notification as soon as the money hits my card, but radio silence this time. This is my third disability payment for a back injury I sustained at work in January, and the first two payments came through without any issues. Has anyone else noticed delays with their SDI payments this week? I've got rent due next week and really counting on this money. Already tried calling the BofA EDD debit card number but got stuck in the automated system for 25 minutes before giving up.

same here!! my payment says it was issued monday too but nothing on my card yet. ive been on disability since december for pregnancy and this is the first time its happened

The exact same thing is happening to me right now! My payment history on SDI Online shows 'paid' since Monday afternoon but the money hasn't shown up on my card. This is my 5th payment for maternity disability and I've NEVER had this issue before. Usually the money is there within hours of showing 'paid' on the website. I wonder if there's some kind of system-wide delay?

•Yeah its probably a system thing. They sometimes do maintenance that causes delays. Did u get the mail about the new payment system they're transitioning to in April? Maybe its related to that upgrade.

There's often a 24-48 hour processing delay between when EDD marks a payment as 'paid' in their system and when Bank of America actually loads the funds to your debit card. This delay can sometimes be longer if there are holidays, weekends, or system maintenance periods involved. Based on your timeline (marked paid on Monday, posting this on Wednesday), you're still within the normal processing window. I'd recommend waiting until tomorrow morning before getting too concerned. If the funds don't appear by Thursday afternoon, then you should contact EDD directly to inquire about the status.

I experienced this EXACT issue last month with my disability payment!!! It showed paid on a Tuesday but didn't hit my card until FRIDAY!!! When I finally got through to someone at EDD, they said there was a processing backlog due to system updates. I was FURIOUS because I had bills due and they couldn't give me any real answers. The system is completely broken and they don't care at all about people waiting for their money!!!!

I've been having the exact same issue! My payment was marked as paid on Monday but nothing on my BofA card yet. I've been trying to call EDD about it but can't get through to anyone. Spent over an hour on hold yesterday before I had to hang up for a doctor appointment. I've been on SDI for 4 months for cancer treatment and never had this problem before. Definitely seems like something's going on with their system this week.

Just wanted to update everyone - I spoke with an EDD representative this morning and there is indeed a processing delay affecting disability payments this week. They're experiencing issues with their payment transfer system to Bank of America. The representative confirmed that payments marked 'paid' on Monday should be deposited by end of day tomorrow (Thursday). If you don't receive your payment by Friday morning, they recommend calling the EDD disability claims line directly.

I think I figured out why were all having issues. My neighbor works for the state (not EDD but another dept) and she said theres a new payment processing system being implemented this quarter. She said lots of state payments are having random delays because of the transition. Just FYI for anyone who might have issues again next payment cycle!
