EDD SDI claim stuck: No updates after weeks, delivery date unchanged. What to do?

I submitted my claim a few weeks ago but the delivery date hasn't been updated. I got an update about two weeks later but nothing changed in my account. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do? I'm getting worried because I really need this to go through soon.

I found a way to solve claim update delay issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-jcpEdNTog

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Wait, what? You have to PAY to talk to someone? That's messed up.

Sounds sketchy. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds weird, but it's legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did you have to wait once they started calling?

0 coins

I've tried it too. It felt odd paying for something like this, but I was desperate, and it worked for me. Just make sure to weigh the cost versus the benefit.

This happened to me too! I swear the system is designed to make us give up 🤬

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're playing games with our lives.

Guys, let's not assume malice. The system is overloaded and understaffed. It sucks, but they're probably doing their best.

I had a similar issue and used Claimyr too. It worked, but at $20, it's a bit of an investment. If your time is very valuable or you're extremely frustrated, it's worth considering.

Glad to hear it worked for you! Sometimes it's worth paying for a solution if it saves a ton of hassle.

lol welcome to the club 🤡 we're all in the same boat here

It's almost like a rite of passage at this point. Hopefully, we'll all get through it soon!

Ugh, I feel you. The system is so broken rn. I've been waiting for MONTHS to get my claim updated. It's like they don't even care about us 😤

It's so frustrating, right? If only there was a straightforward way to get these things done.

OP, I think many of us have faced similar frustrations with claims processing. One strategy that hasn't been mentioned is reaching out to consumer advocacy groups. They can sometimes intervene and expedite the process. Additionally, consider enlisting the help of a local legal aid organization if you feel your rights are being infringed upon.

That's a great suggestion! It never hurts to have someone in your corner who knows how to navigate these complex systems.

Have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds old school, but sometimes it gets their attention faster than online submissions.

0 coins

It's funny how sometimes older methods work better than the modern ones. Worth a try for sure!

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important updates end up there. Just a thought!

0 coins

Good point! It's surprising how often important emails can get lost in the spam folder.

0 coins

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta be persistent and keep bugging them until they fix it.

0 coins

I've tried calling but I can never get through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. It's the only way I've ever gotten through.

Unpopular opinion: maybe there's a reason it's not updating? Double-check that you filled everything out correctly. I thought I was having issues but turns out I messed up one of the forms 🤦‍♂️

I've triple-checked everything. Pretty sure it's on their end, but thanks for the suggestion!

Always good to double-check, but let's be real - their system is a hot mess rn 💯

I had the same issue last year. Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of when you submitted, when you got updates, etc. 2. Try to reach out through multiple channels - phone, email, even social media if they have it. 3. Be polite but firm when you do get through. Explain the situation clearly and ask for specific next steps. 4. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Good luck! The system can be a real pain, but don't give up.

This is great advice! I'd add: make sure you have all your paperwork in order before you call. It'll save time and hassle.

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. I'll definitely try reaching out through different channels.

I heard they're updating the system soon. Maybe wait a few days and see if it fixes itself?

0 coins

That might be a good move. Sometimes updates can cause temporary hiccups that resolve on their own.

have u tried checkin ur online account? sometimes they update stuff there w/o sendin an email

Yeah, I've been checking it obsessively. Still no change 😔
