EDD Payment Delayed Since February - Missed Questionnaire Deadline, Now What?
Hey everyone, I'm in a tough spot. I haven't been paid since February and my bills are piling up. When I logged into my account, I saw there was a questionnaire I had to fill out. I completed it, but it was past the due date. Now I'm stuck waiting and haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, that sucks! I've been there before. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta be persistent to get answers.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting someone on the line.

•Calling is useless, I've been on hold for hours and never got through. 🤬

Same boat here. The system is so broken, it's ridiculous. I've been waiting for months and still nothing. How are we supposed to survive like this?

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

•I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my rep is?

•Just google '[your state] representative finder' and you should be able to input your address to find out. Good luck!

Okay, listen up. Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. 2. Send a formal written request for an update on your claim. Use certified mail so you have proof they received it. 3. File an appeal if possible. Even if you're not sure it applies, it can sometimes kickstart the process. 4. Reach out to your state's unemployment ombudsman or advocate office. They're there to help with these situations. 5. Consider contacting local media if all else fails. Sometimes public pressure can work wonders. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: join Facebook groups for unemployment support in your state. Lots of good info there.

•Great tips! I'd also suggest checking if there are any legal aid organizations in your area that can help. Some offer free assistance with unemployment issues.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•20 bucks? Thats a rip-off. The goverment should make it easier to reach them for free!

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny IMO.

•How does it work exactly? Do you have to give them your phone number?

•Yeah, you give them your number and they call you when they get a real person on the line. Beats sitting on hold all day!

This is why we need universal basic income. The current system is a joke. 🤡

Have you tried tweeting at them? Sometimes public callouts on social media can get their attention.
