Can't access SDI account - lost email and phone number. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my disability account. I can't log in because I don't have access to the email or phone number linked to my account anymore. Has anyone dealt with this before? What should I do to regain access?

Ugh, that sucks! I had a similar problem last year. Have you tried calling their customer service line? They might be able to verify your identity another way.

•I've been trying to call but the wait times are insane. I've been on hold for hours and still can't get through 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in like 15 minutes doing that!

This happened to me too! It's such a pain. Here's what worked for me: 1. Go to their website and look for the 'Forgot Password' option 2. Choose the option to verify by mail (since you can't use email or phone) 3. They'll send a letter to your address on file with a temporary password 4. Once you're in, immediately update your contact info Hope this helps!

•Wow, thank you so much! I didn't even know this was an option. I'll definitely try this out.

•Just a heads up, this process can take a couple weeks. But it does work!

have you tried going to the local office? sometimes face-to-face is the best way to get things sorted out

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

•It took about an hour and a half, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was ready.

Have you checked if theres a way to update your contact info online without logging in? Some gov sites have that option buried somewhere.

I went through this exact same situation a few months ago! It's incredibly frustrating. In addition to what others have mentioned, you can also try visiting your local EDD office in person with your ID and Social Security card. They were able to help me reset everything on the spot. Just be prepared to wait - I got there early and still spent about 3 hours there, but it was worth it to finally get access back. Good luck! 🤞
