How do I check if CalWORKs stimulus payment was sent to me? Haven't received it yet

Has anyone figured out how to check if your CalWORKs stimulus payment was sent out yet? I was told we'd get an extra payment this month, but nothing's shown up on my EBT card. My neighbor said she got hers last week but I haven't seen anything. I need this money for my kids' school supplies and my worker never picks up when I call. Is there a website where I can see if it was processed or if I'm even eligible? My case is active and I have 2 kids on my case if that matters. Getting worried they skipped me for some reason.

The CalWORKs stimulus payments are being sent out in batches through April 2025, so not everyone gets them at the same time. Unfortunately there's no online tracker specifically for these payments. You'll need to contact your county worker to verify if you're eligible and when yours is scheduled. The quickest ways to check are: 1. Call your county office (though as you mentioned, getting through can be difficult) 2. Message through BenefitsCal if you have an account 3. Visit your local office in person with your case number Did you receive a notice in the mail about the stimulus? They usually send something before or right after the payment.

They never sent me any notice about it! That's why I'm so confused. My friend showed me hers and it had all the details but I got nothing. I tried BenefitsCal but it just shows my regular Cash Aid amount, nothing about any stimulus. So frustrating!!

I had THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM last month!!! called 8 times and always got disconnected or was on hold for over an hour!!!!! They're SO DISORGANIZED with these payments its ridiculous. Some people got them early, some are still waiting. When i finally got thru they said mine was "pending approval" whatever that means 🙄 You should check if you went over the IRT (income reporting threshold) cause that can make you ineligible. Also did you submit your SAR7 on time?

Yes I did my SAR7 back in February and haven't had any income changes since then. My Cash Aid has been the same amount every month. How did you finally get through to somebody? I've been trying for days!

I work with CalWORKs recipients and can confirm the special payments are being distributed through April 2025. Eligibility is based on having an active case as of March 1st with eligible children in the home. The distribution schedule depends on your case number, not your county. There's no public-facing website to check your payment status specifically for this stimulus, but your county worker can look it up in the system. If you don't receive it by mid-April and believe you're eligible, you can request a case review. Make sure to check both your EBT card AND your direct deposit account if you have split payments set up.

Thank you for this info! I do have an active case with 2 kids, and we were definitely active in March. I checked both my EBT and my bank account, nothing in either place. I guess I just have to wait and hope it comes soon. Is there a deadline for when they have to send all the payments by?

Have you tried using Claimyr to get through to your county worker? I was having the same issue trying to check on my stimulus payment and kept getting disconnected or waiting on hold forever. I used claimyr.com and they got me through to a live person in like 20 minutes. They basically wait on hold for you and call you back when they reach someone. You can even see how it works at https://youtu.be/jzISHxCPLwE before trying it. Saved me so much frustration! My worker was able to tell me exactly when my payment was scheduled to deposit.

It worked for me! My worker told me my payment was scheduled for next Tuesday and that there was nothing wrong with my case. She could see it in her system but said there's no way for us to check it ourselves online.

wait i'm confused - are you talking about the regular CalWORKs cash aid or something else? i haven't heard about any stimulus for CalWORKs. is this only for certain counties? I'm in San Bernardino and nobody told me about extra money coming...

It's a one-time supplemental payment that was approved in the state budget for families with children on CalWORKs. It should be available statewide, not just certain counties. You might want to contact your worker to confirm if you're eligible. Not all workers are proactively informing clients about it unfortunately.

omg nobody told me!! thats like the story of my life with calworks, they never tell you about benefits ur eligible for until after the fact 😡

My sister on CalFresh got her stimulus already but I'm on CalWORKs and haven't gotten anything. I think they're sending CalFresh ones first? Or maybe it depends on your case number like someone else said. When I went to the office yesterday about something else, they told me the payments are going out in order by case number and mine should be here by April 15th. Maybe yours is in the next batch?

That's good to know! CalFresh and CalWORKs have different payment schedules maybe? I'll try to be patient until mid-April. Just wish they communicated better about this stuff!

That's a good point - sometimes eligibility can depend on having all your verification documents up to date. If you had any pending verification requests (even ones you weren't aware of), that could delay your stimulus payment. Always worth checking your BenefitsCal account messages and your physical mail regularly.

Update: I FINALLY got through to my worker after trying that Claimyr service someone mentioned. Turns out my payment is scheduled for next week! They said they're sending them out in batches based on the last 2 digits of your case number. Mine ends in 78 so I'm in the April batch. Just wanted to let everyone know in case you're still waiting too. Such a relief to know it's coming!
