For overseas military births, we definitely need to process these in person since the online system can't handle the unique location codes. Most of our staff know how to handle military overseas births, but if you get someone new, just ask for a supervisor. We have special procedures for this exact situation. Also, just FYI - the May 7, 2025 federal deadline is the real one that matters for flying domestically. Some states set earlier internal deadlines but those are more for processing logistics.
