Workers' Benefits Credit decision came on May 2nd but no deposit yet - anyone else?
I finally got that 'decision made' update for my Workers' Benefits Credit on Monday (May 2nd) after waiting forever, but STILL no money in my account! Starting to get worried because rent is due soon. It says 'approved' in my eServices account but doesn't give any timeline for when the money will actually show up. Anyone else in the same boat who got their decision on the 2nd? How long did it take for your funds to hit your account after seeing 'decision made'? I'm checking my bank account like 5 times a day and it's driving me crazy!

•So frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've been trying but can't get through.

It typically takes 3-5 business days for the funds to be deposited after a decision is made. So if you got the decision on Monday the 2nd, you should see the deposit by Monday the 9th at the latest. Remember that weekends don't count as business days. The Workers' Benefits Credit system is separate from regular unemployment, so the processing times are a bit different. Did you double check that your direct deposit information is correct in your account?

•Thanks! Yeah I checked my direct deposit info and it's all correct. I guess I'll try to be patient until Monday, but it's hard when bills are piling up.

I got my decision on April 29th and the money showed up on May 4th, so took about 3 business days. One thing I learned - they don't process payments on weekends, so that might be adding to your wait. Also, depending on your bank, it might take an extra day for the deposit to clear. Hang in there!

If you're still not seeing the deposit by Monday, I'd recommend trying to speak with someone at ESD directly. After struggling for weeks to get through their phone lines, I finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get connected to an ESD agent within 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. The agent was able to check if there were any issues with my payment processing that weren't showing up in the online portal. Sometimes there are backend processing delays that only an agent can see in their system.

•Thanks for the tip! If I don't see anything by Monday I'll definitely try that. I've been trying to call but always get disconnected or told to call back later.

Just curious - what was your original filing date for the Workers' Benefits Credit? I filed back in February and STILL haven't even gotten a decision. The whole system seems completely random on who gets processed when. Did you do anything special to get your claim moving?

•I filed on March 12th, so it took almost 2 months just to get the decision. I didn't do anything special - just checked my account obsessively every day. I did upload all my documentation right away though, including my 2024 tax return, so maybe that helped speed things up? But yeah, it does seem super random.

my sister got her decision on the 30th and the money came exactly 4 business days later. but she got an email notification when it was sent. did you check your spam folder to see if they emailed you about the payment? also you should check if you signed up for email notifications in your account settings

•The workers credit isn't the same as regular unemployment!!!! Don't confuse people. The WBC has different payment processing times and doesn't always send email notifications. My neighbor works at ESD and says they're totally different systems.

Just to clarify some confusion in this thread: The Workers' Benefits Credit does use a different payment processing system than regular unemployment, but both CAN send email notifications if you've opted in. However, the WBC system has been having some notification issues lately. The best way to check is directly in your eServices account under the 'Payments' tab. You should see a payment with 'processing' or 'issued' status before it hits your bank account. If it says 'issued' but hasn't arrived in 3 business days, that's when you should contact ESD.

•Thank you for clarifying! I just checked and mine still shows as 'approved' but not 'issued' or 'processing' yet. Guess I need to keep waiting.
