WorkSource Zoom link not received - Workshop scheduled for tomorrow
Has anyone attended a WorkSource workshop via Zoom lately? I got an email saying I need to attend a mandatory re-employment workshop tomorrow at 10AM as part of my ongoing unemployment requirements, but they still haven't sent me the actual Zoom link yet. It's already 4PM the day before! Called their office twice today but got voicemail both times. Getting stressed since I can't afford to miss this - my claim will probably get flagged if I don't attend. Anyone know how late they typically send these links out? Or is there somewhere on the WorkSource website where I can find it myself?

•Thanks, I've been checking spam too but nothing there. Morning of?? That seems really last minute! Did you get a reminder email or anything the day before?

The WorkSource workshop Zoom links typically get sent about 1-2 hours before the scheduled workshop time. They do this to prevent people from sharing links with others who aren't registered. If you don't receive anything by 9AM tomorrow, you should immediately call the WorkSource office that's hosting your workshop and explain the situation. Also, make sure your contact information is up-to-date in your WorkSource account. Sometimes they'll send the link to the email you used when you first registered, not the one you use for ESD.

•Oh that makes sense about not sharing links. I'll make sure to be ready early tomorrow morning then. My WorkSource profile has the correct email, I double-checked after reading your comment. Really appreciate the info!

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM LAST WEEK!!! Never got the link and then they marked me as a no-show!!! Had to go through this whole appeal process with ESD to explain that I never received the link and almost lost my benefits because of THEIR mistake. Make sure you document EVERYTHING - screenshots of your email inbox showing you never got it, call log showing you tried to reach them, etc. The system is designed to trip people up I swear.

•That's terrible! Did you eventually get it resolved with ESD? I'm always worried about these workshop requirements since they're so important for keeping benefits active.

•Yeah but it took WEEKS and so much stress. Had to talk to a supervisor and everything. They eventually fixed it but I had to miss a payment cycle while it was being resolved.

They sent mine literally 30 minutes before the workshop started last time! So annoying. But I remember there was also a calendar invite in my WorkSource account dashboard that had the link embedded in it. Maybe log into your WorkSource account and check the dashboard/calendar section?

•Whoa, 30 minutes?? That's cutting it super close. I just checked my WorkSource dashboard and don't see anything in the calendar there yet either. Will keep refreshing I guess!

If you're having trouble reaching WorkSource directly about your workshop link, you might want to try using Claimyr to connect with an ESD agent who can help. I was in a similar situation with a mandatory workshop and couldn't get through to WorkSource. Used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to reach ESD, and they were able to confirm my registration and provide workshop access information. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 Even if you do get the link tomorrow morning, it might be good to have this as a backup plan in case you run into any technical issues accessing the workshop.

•Thanks for the suggestion! I'll keep this as a backup option if I don't get the link by tomorrow morning. Never heard of Claimyr before but anything that helps get through to a real person is worth knowing about.

•Yes, I clicked the confirmation link in the email when I first got it last week. That just confirmed I was registered for the workshop but didn't provide the actual Zoom link for joining tomorrow. Thanks anyway!

Just wanted to follow up and mention that while you technically have to attend these workshops as part of your job search requirements, if you miss it for reasons beyond your control (like not receiving the link), you can request to be rescheduled without penalty. Call WorkSource immediately after the missed workshop time and explain the situation, then document the call. ESD generally grants leniency if you can show you made a good faith effort to attend.

•That's really good to know! Hopefully I'll get the link and everything will go smoothly, but I'm taking screenshots of everything just in case. Will definitely call right away if something goes wrong.

•Great to hear! Make sure to log in 5-10 minutes early as they sometimes mark people late if they join after the start time. Also have a pen and paper ready - they occasionally give information you'll need for your weekly claim.
