Will Memorial Day delay my Washington ESD unemployment payment this week?

The automated payment system runs regardless of federal holidays. Washington ESD processes payments based on when you submit your weekly claim, not banking holidays.

You have until 11:59 PM Sunday to file for that benefit week. If you miss it, you can still file late but it might delay processing and you'll get a warning.

Definitely worth trying if you're stuck in adjudication. Getting an actual person on the phone can sometimes speed things up.
