What's the number to Washington ESD unemployment office - can't find current contact info
I've been searching everywhere for the current phone number to reach someone at the Washington ESD unemployment office. My claim has been stuck in adjudication for over a month and I need to speak with an actual person, not just the automated system. The website has multiple numbers but they all seem to lead to the same maze of menu options. Does anyone have a direct number that actually connects you to a human being?

The main number is 833-572-8400 but good luck getting through. I've been trying for weeks and either get disconnected or stuck on hold for 3+ hours only to get hung up on.

•That's the number I keep calling! It's so frustrating, I've wasted entire days just trying to get someone on the phone.

•Same experience here. Called 47 times yesterday and got through once, only to be told they couldn't help with my specific issue and transferred me to another department that never answered.

The 833-572-8400 number is correct for general UI claims. For adjudication issues specifically, you might have better luck with the claims center at 800-318-6022, but honestly the wait times are brutal on all Washington ESD lines right now.

•I tried that 800 number too - same result. How is anyone supposed to resolve their claim issues if you literally cannot reach them?

•The system is completely overwhelmed. I work in HR and we constantly hear from former employees who can't get through to resolve basic claim questions.

I was having the exact same problem until I found this service called Claimyr that actually calls Washington ESD for you and gets you connected to an agent. It's at claimyr.com and they have a demo video at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ showing how it works. Saved me literally days of calling.

•Wait, how does that even work? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

•Yeah basically they handle all the calling and waiting for you, then connect you when they get an agent on the line. Way better than sitting there hitting redial all day.

•That actually sounds amazing. I'm so tired of this calling nightmare. How much does it cost though?

try calling right at 8am when they open, thats when i got through last time but still waited 2 hours on hold

•I've tried that strategy multiple times and still can't get through. The lines are jammed from the second they open.

•8am is when EVERYONE calls so it's actually worse then. Better to try around 2-3pm sometimes.

The Washington ESD phone system is honestly broken. They need to hire more staff or upgrade their infrastructure because this is completely unacceptable for people who need urgent help with their claims.

•Agreed. I've been dealing with an overpayment notice and can't get anyone to explain how they calculated it. The system is failing people who desperately need assistance.

•It's been like this since the pandemic started and somehow got worse instead of better.

Have you tried using the secure messaging system on the Washington ESD website? Sometimes that gets a faster response than calling.

•I sent three messages over the past month and haven't received a single response. That system seems just as backed up.

•Secure messaging can take 7-14 business days for a response currently, according to their website. Not helpful for urgent issues.

I actually used that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier and it worked great. Got connected to a Washington ESD agent in about 45 minutes instead of spending all day calling myself. Definitely worth checking out if you're stuck.

•Really? That seems too good to be true. What kind of issues were you able to resolve?

•I had questions about my weekly claim certification and needed to update my job search log. The agent was able to help with both issues once I got connected.

For what it's worth, I've had better luck calling the WorkSource office directly for job search requirement questions. They can sometimes help with basic claim issues too.

•What's the WorkSource number? I need help understanding the new job search requirements.

•It varies by location but you can find your local WorkSource number on their website. They're generally easier to reach than the main Washington ESD line.

The whole system is ridiculous. I'm three months into an adjudication for a separation issue and still haven't heard anything. Meanwhile I'm running out of savings.

•Three months?! That's insane. Have you tried contacting your state representative's office? Sometimes they can help push things along.

•I didn't know that was an option. How do you contact them about unemployment issues?

•Look up your district representative and call their constituent services office. They have staff who specifically help with state agency issues.

I keep seeing people mention Claimyr - is it actually legit? I'm desperate enough to try anything at this point but don't want to get scammed.

•It's totally legitimate. They don't ask for any personal information about your claim, they just handle the calling part and connect you to Washington ESD. Check out their demo video to see how it works.

•I was skeptical too but used it last week. Got connected to an agent and was able to resolve my claim status question. Much better than the endless calling cycle.

Pro tip: if you do get through to someone at Washington ESD, make sure to get their direct extension or callback number. Some agents will give you their direct line for follow-up questions.

•That's great advice! I never thought to ask for a direct number.

•Not all agents can give direct numbers due to policy, but it's definitely worth asking if you have an ongoing issue that might require follow-up.

Just wanted to update - I tried the Claimyr service after reading about it here and it actually worked! Got connected to a Washington ESD agent who helped me understand why my claim was flagged for adjudication. Turns out there was a simple documentation issue I could resolve.

•That's exactly what I need! I'm going to try Claimyr today. This phone calling situation is driving me crazy.

•How long did it take them to get you connected?

•About an hour from when I submitted the request to when they called me back with the agent on the line. So much better than spending all day redialing.
