What is Washington ESD unemployment phone number - can't find current contact info
I've been searching everywhere for the correct Washington ESD unemployment phone number but keep finding different numbers online. Some websites show old numbers that don't work anymore. I need to speak with someone about my weekly claim that's been pending for over a week now. Does anyone have the current phone number that actually works? I'm getting frustrated trying to figure out which number is legitimate.

The main Washington ESD unemployment phone number is 800-318-6022. That's the customer service line for UI claims. But fair warning - you're going to have a really hard time getting through. The wait times are usually 2+ hours if you even get in the queue.

•Thanks! I'll try that number. Do you know what time they open?

•They're open Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm. Try calling right at 8am sharp for your best chance.

•Same experience here. The system is completely overloaded. I've probably called 50+ times this week.

I had the same problem last month trying to reach Washington ESD about my adjudication status. After weeks of failed calls, I found this service called Claimyr that actually got me through to an agent. You put in your info at claimyr.com and they call you back when they reach someone. There's a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ that shows how it works. Saved me so much time and frustration.

•That sounds almost too good to be true. How much does it cost?

•They focus on the value of actually getting through rather than spending all day calling. Worth checking out their site for the details.

•Is this legit? I'm always suspicious of third-party services for government stuff.

•I was skeptical too but they just help you get connected - you still talk directly to the Washington ESD agent yourself. They don't handle any of your personal claim info.

There's also a separate number for technical issues with your online account: 855-682-0785. But if it's about your actual claim status, you need the main customer service line.

•Good to know there are different numbers for different issues. I'll stick with the main one since it's about my pending weekly claim.

Whatever you do, don't use any of those 'call back' services that want your personal info upfront. There are scammers out there taking advantage of people who can't get through to Washington ESD.

•Good point about being careful with personal info. Always verify any service is legitimate before giving out details.

•Agreed. I only trust calling the official Washington ESD numbers directly, even if it takes forever.

Pro tip: if you call the main number and get a busy signal, hang up and immediately call back. Sometimes you can slip through between busy periods. I got through on my 15th try doing this.

•I'll try that strategy. How long did you wait once you got in the queue?

•About 90 minutes, but at least I knew I was in line instead of getting busy signals.

Has anyone tried calling the local WorkSource offices? Sometimes they can help with basic questions or at least point you in the right direction.

•WorkSource can help with job search requirements and some general info, but for claim-specific issues you really need to reach Washington ESD directly.

•My local WorkSource office said they can't access our individual claim information, so it's limited what they can do.

The phone system is honestly broken. I've been trying to reach someone about my disqualification for 3 weeks. Keep getting different answers from different agents when I do get through.

•That's frustrating about getting inconsistent information. Make sure to document which agent you spoke with and when for your records.

Another option is to try the online messaging system through your eServices account, but response times are usually 5-7 business days minimum.

•I need to resolve this faster than a week. My rent is due and I'm counting on this payment.

•I feel you on the urgency. The whole system is frustratingly slow when you need answers quickly.

Just want to add that if you're calling about job search requirements or standby status, those might have slightly different procedures. Make sure you're clear about your specific situation when you do get through.

•Good point. Mine is just a regular weekly claim that's showing as pending for no apparent reason.

I actually had success with Claimyr too when I couldn't get through about my adjudication issue. They got me connected within a few hours instead of me spending days trying. The agent was able to explain exactly what documents I needed to submit.

•How does that work exactly? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

•From what I understand, they have a system that monitors the phone lines and calls you back when they can connect you to an agent. Saved me a lot of time.

The Washington ESD website also has some troubleshooting info that might help before you call. Sometimes simple issues can be resolved online.

•I checked the website but couldn't find anything about why my weekly claim would be pending. It's been over a week with no explanation.

Keep trying the main number but also be prepared with all your information - SSN, claim confirmation number, recent work history. They'll ask for everything to verify your identity.

•Thanks for the heads up. I'll gather all that info before I call so I'm ready.

Honestly the whole phone system needs an overhaul. It shouldn't be this hard to reach the agency that handles our benefits. But for now, persistence is key - keep calling until you get through.

•Agreed, the system is frustrating. I'll keep trying the main number and might look into that Claimyr service if I can't get through soon.

Just an update - I finally got through yesterday after 5 days of trying. Turns out my claim was flagged for identity verification. Make sure to ask specifically about any flags on your account.

•Good to know! I'll ask about that when I get through. How long did the identity verification take to resolve?

•They said 3-5 business days once I submitted the documents. Still waiting but at least I know what's happening now.
