ESD website login keeps resetting - can I only apply during business hours?

I've been trying to file my initial unemployment claim online for the past 2 days but keep having the same frustrating issue. When I enter my username and password (which I KNOW are correct), the page acts like it's loading for a few seconds, then just brings me back to the login screen without any error message. I've tried on my laptop, phone, and even borrowed my sister's tablet - same result every time. This has me wondering - can you only access the ESD website during business hours? I've been trying late at night and early morning when I have free time. Is this some weird system limitation they don't tell you about? Has anyone else run into this? It's so annoying because I really need to get this claim started before my savings run out completely.

I've been using Chrome! I'll try Firefox tonight, thank you. Do you remember what time you were able to get in? I'm wondering if there's a magic hour when the system is less busy.

The ESD website should definitely be accessible 24/7. The "login loop" you're describing is a known issue that can happen for several reasons: 1. Your browser cache/cookies need to be cleared 2. You might have pop-up blockers preventing the next page from loading 3. The site might be having technical issues (which happens a lot lately) 4. Your SAW account might be temporarily locked due to too many attempts Try clearing your cache completely, disable any ad blockers or pop-up blockers, and try again. If that doesn't work, you can try calling their technical support line at 855-682-0785. They're open Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.

I had this EXACT problem last month! It was driving me CRAZY because I knew my password was right. Turns out my account had been locked because of too many login attempts (even though I never got an error message saying that). What fixed it for me was using the "Forgot Username or Password" link, which made me reset everything, then waiting about 30 minutes before trying again. That finally worked. And no, there's no time restriction - I finally got in at like 11pm on a Saturday.

That's so weird that they don't even tell you if your account is locked! I'll try your suggestion about resetting the password and waiting. Really don't want to have to call them if I can avoid it.

I used to work for a tech company that interfaced with ESD (I'm not revealing which one for privacy), and I can tell you that while their system is technically available 24/7, they do run maintenance processes overnight that can cause login issues. The best times to access the system are weekdays between 9am-3pm when their tech team is fully staffed. Also, if you're stuck in a login loop, try a completely different device if possible. Sometimes it's not just the browser but device-specific cache issues. If you have a library nearby with public computers, that's another option.

That's super helpful insider info, thank you! I'll try during those hours tomorrow. I haven't thought about using a public computer - that's a good backup plan.

I've dealt with this issue multiple times. After spending hours trying to login and getting stuck in that endless loop, I discovered Claimyr.com which connects you directly to an ESD agent who can help with these technical issues. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 showing how it works. It saved me days of frustration when my account had similar issues. With how time-sensitive unemployment claims can be, it was worth it to get immediate help rather than spending days trying to fix it myself.

I've never heard of that service before. Does it actually work? I'm getting desperate enough to try anything at this point.

my cousin used that service when her claim was stuck for weeks. said it took like 20 minutes to talk to someone instead of days of calling. not sure about using it for login problems tho

anyone else notice that the ESD site always seems to have "technical difficulties" right when you need it most? lol. i swear they do this on purpose to reduce the number of claims. my partner tried for TWO WEEKS to get in before finally getting through on a tuesday at exactly 10:15am. so maybe try that specific time? not sure if it was just coincidence but worth a shot

THIS!!!! I'm convinced they make it difficult on purpose! The system was designed by dinosaurs who don't want us to get OUR MONEY that WE PAID INTO THE SYSTEM!!!

Update: I tried clearing my cache and cookies, then used Firefox instead of Chrome like some of you suggested. It worked! I was able to log in at 2pm today and got my claim submitted. Thanks everyone for your help! For anyone else having this issue - definitely try a different browser and clear your cache. Also, mid-afternoon on a weekday seemed to be a good time to access the system.
