ESD system glitch made me refile my weekly claim - anyone else?

Has anyone else had their weekly claim completely disappear from the system?? I filed my weekly claim on Sunday morning like I always do, confirmed everything, got the usual confirmation number and everything. Logged back in today to check if payment was showing and WTF - the system is telling me I haven't filed for last week at all! Had to go through and refile the ENTIRE claim again. No explanation, nothing. This is the 3rd weird glitch I've experienced with ESD's system in 2 months. Just a heads up to everyone to double-check your accounts even if you think you've already filed. This system seriously needs an upgrade or something because it's costing people weeks of benefits when these errors happen. Anyone else experiencing this nonsense?

omg same thing happened to me last week!! thought i was going crazy. filed on sunday, checked on wednesday and nothing was there. had to refile and then payment was delayed by like 5 days

Did they ever explain what happened? I'm worried this is going to delay my payment and I have rent due next week.

This is actually a known issue with the ESD system that tends to happen during their maintenance windows. Usually occurs when they're updating claim processing systems, typically on weekends. The system sometimes fails to properly record claims filed within about 4 hours of scheduled maintenance. \n\nIf this happens, you should:\n1. Take screenshots showing you're refiling the claim\n2. Note the confirmation numbers from both filings if possible\n3. Submit a message through your eServices account explaining what happened\n\nIn most cases, your payment will still process normally after the second filing, but occasionally it can trigger an identity verification hold. If you don't see payment pending within 48 hours of refiling, you may need to contact ESD directly.

Thank you for this detailed explanation! I didn't realize they had maintenance windows. Is there a schedule posted somewhere so I can avoid filing during those times? I'll definitely follow your advice and document everything.

happened 2 me twice already!!! system is total garbage... they probably doing it on purpose to save $$$. less claims = less money they gotta pay out lol

That's not how it works. The system issues are frustrating but they're technical problems, not deliberate attempts to deny benefits. If your claim disappeared and you had to refile, ESD will still pay for that week if you're eligible - they don't save money through system errors.

I was having so many problems reaching anyone at ESD about my disappearing weekly claims. After wasting hours getting disconnected, I tried Claimyr (claimyr.com) and finally got through to a real person who explained that there was a system-wide issue affecting claims filed early Sunday mornings. They actually helped me get my previous

is this legit?? seems too good to be true honestly. im tired of calling 50 times a day and never getting through

It's definitely real - I was skeptical too but it worked for me. They basically hold your place in line while you go about your day, then alert you when it's your turn to speak with an agent. Saved me hours of frustration.

This is why I always screenshot my confirmation page AND write down my confirmation number after filing. ESD's system has issues, but if you can prove you filed, they usually resolve it without too much trouble. I'd recommend filing on Monday or Tuesday instead of Sunday if possible - the system seems more stable mid-week from my experience.\n\nAs for your current situation, don't panic about the payment delay. Typically when you have to refile a claim that disappeared, the payment still processes within the normal timeframe from your second filing date. If it doesn't show as paid within 3 business days of refiling, that's when you should follow up.

That's a good tip about screenshots! I'm going to start doing that. And maybe I'll switch to filing on Mondays too. I've always done Sundays thinking it would be faster, but maybe that's actually making things worse.

You might have accidentally clicked out of the final confirmation screen before completing the full process. It happens a lot - the system requires you to go through several confirmation screens and if you miss the last one, it looks like you filed but the claim isn't actually recorded. \n\nWhen filing your weekly claim, you need to:\n1. Answer all questions\n2. Review your answers\n3. Certify the information is correct\n4. Get to the final confirmation page with the confirmation number\n5. MOST IMPORTANT: Click the final \

I definitely completed all the steps and got a confirmation number. That's why I was so confused when I logged back in and it showed I hadn't filed at all. It's 100% a system glitch, not user error in this case.

In that case, it sounds like the database sync issue others have mentioned. Sorry you're dealing with this! If it happens again, call ESD immediately rather than refiling - sometimes they can recover the original claim if you contact them before trying to file again.

is anyone else having trouble with the job search log part too? i swear i entered all my job contacts last week and now they're gone too. the whole system is just broken.

That's a separate issue but equally frustrating. The job search logs are stored in a different part of the system. Always keep your own separate record of your job search activities - don't rely solely on ESD's online log. I keep a simple spreadsheet with dates, company names, contact info, and application methods as backup.

I had something similar happen last month but found out it was because I was using Chrome in incognito mode. Apparently ESD's site doesn't always work properly with certain browser settings. Try using Edge or Firefox if you're having issues with the system remembering your claim submission.

I'm wondering if this is related to that system update they announced last month? They sent an email about upgrading some parts of eServices but I don't remember the exact dates. Maybe we're seeing the aftermath of a botched update rollout.

Yes, you're right. They're in the middle of a phased system modernization project that was announced in their April 2025 claimant newsletter. Phase 2 was scheduled for implementation throughout May and June, with weekend maintenance windows. The claim filing issues some people are experiencing are likely related to this transition period.
