ESD pending issue disappeared but 5 weeks unpaid - what happened?

I've been filing for unemployment since early February, and for weeks my account showed a pending adjudication issue. I kept filing my weekly claims anyway like they tell you to do. Just checked my eServices account yesterday and noticed the adjudication issue completely disappeared from my account - it's just gone! But here's the problem: I still haven't been paid for 5 weekly claims. No new messages, no alerts, nothing in my 'Decision status' section either. Does this mean they've resolved the issue? Or is something else wrong? Has anyone experienced their pending issue disappearing but still not getting paid? I'm getting desperate - rent is due next week and my savings are completely drained.

The exact same thing happened to me last month!! The adjudication issue disappeared after being there for like 7 weeks, but I still didn't get paid for another 10 days after that. It's super confusing but I think when the issue disappears, it means they've resolved it but there's still some internal processing happening? ESD is sooooo slow with everything.

10 days?? I was hoping it would be faster than that. Did you eventually get paid for all your back weeks or just some of them?

When an adjudication issue disappears from your account, it typically means ESD has made a determination on your case. However, there are several possibilities for why you still haven't received payment: 1. The determination was made but payment is still in processing (can take 3-5 business days) 2. Your claim was denied but the denial notice hasn't been delivered yet 3. There could be another unrelated issue affecting payment 4. Sometimes the system updates don't sync properly I'd recommend checking if your 'Monetary Determination' shows an amount you should receive. Also check your payment history page for any messages about the status of those weeks.

My Monetary Determination does show an amount I should receive weekly, and my payment history shows all 5 weeks as 'Processing - Web' with the correct amounts listed, but nothing's been deposited. I guess I'll keep waiting, but it's so stressful not knowing.

if ur payment history shows 'processing-web' that means its been approved! ur gonna get paid soon. the system just takes ages to actually release the $$$. happened to my brother in 2024 too. hang in there!

That's a relief to hear! Thanks for letting me know. I'll try to be patient.

Processing - Web is a positive sign, but I'd still recommend contacting ESD directly to confirm everything is on track. It's possible there's another verification step needed that isn't obvious on your account. Remember that they need to verify job searches for each week you're claiming as well.

I've been trying to call ESD for weeks but can never get through. It's either a busy signal or it disconnects me after waiting on hold for an hour. I've documented all my job searches religiously - 3 activities every week. I really need to talk to someone about my claim but it seems impossible to reach them.

I had my adjudication vanish and didn't get paid for SEVEN WEEKS!! ESD is such a joke. They finally paid me everything at once without ANY explanation or apology. The whole system is designed to make people give up. Keep calling though - eventually you'll get through if you start calling the MINUTE they open.

Seven weeks is crazy! I've been trying to call right when they open but hundreds of other people must be doing the same thing. Did you ever find out why yours took so long?

After struggling for weeks trying to reach ESD about a similar issue, I finally had success using Claimyr (claimyr.com). It's a service that helps you get through to an ESD agent quickly instead of dealing with busy signals and disconnections. Their system literally waits on hold for you and calls you when an agent picks up. Worked great for me - they got me connected in about 30 minutes when I couldn't get through at all on my own. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3

Here's a technical clarification on what's happening in your case: When you see 'Processing - Web' on multiple weeks, it means your claim has been approved and payment has been authorized, but it's in the ESD payment queue. This typically happens when: 1. Multiple weeks are being processed at once (backpay) 2. There was an adjudication that was resolved favorably 3. There's a first-time payment being set up The good news is that 'Processing - Web' means you've been approved - it's just a matter of when the payment will be released. For multiple backpay weeks, ESD's system sometimes batches them together which can take 7-10 business days to complete processing.

That's actually really helpful to understand, thank you! At least I know the money is coming eventually. I just wish there was a clearer timeline so I could plan better for bills and expenses.

This happened to my claim too my adjadication disappeared after 6 weeks and then I got paid everything at once two weeks later. Dont spend it all at once when it hits lol

Trust me, it's all going straight to rent and utilities! I'm so behind on everything at this point.

Just a tip - make sure you keep doing your weekly claims even while waiting for this to resolve! My cousin missed filing for one week during her adjudication period and then she couldn't claim that week at all when everything else finally got approved.

Definitely! I've been super careful about filing every single week on Sunday or Monday, and I always save the confirmation numbers they give me just in case.
