Adjudication disappeared overnight and status changed to 'paid' - When will I get my money?
So I've been dealing with this mess for weeks now. My claim was in adjudication for like 25 days (felt like eternity) and I checked my eServices account this morning and noticed the adjudication issue completely disappeared! My pending payments now show 'paid' status instead of 'pending'. Does anyone know if I'll actually get the money deposited this week? Or do I have to wait until after I file my weekly claim this Sunday to get everything together? I've got rent due Monday and this timing is critical. Just when I think I understand how ESD works, something changes and I'm confused all over again.

Congrats on getting out of adjudication! When your status changes from pending to paid, you should receive your payment within 48 hours in most cases. The system processes payments in batches throughout the week, so you don't need to wait until your next weekly claim. Check your bank account tomorrow morning - it's often faster than they say. If you have direct deposit set up correctly, you're good to go!

•OMG thank you!! That's such a relief. I was worried I'd have to file on Sunday first. Fingers crossed it hits my account by Friday then!

It depends on your bank. ESD usually processes payments within 24-48 hours after status changes to "paid," but then your bank might hold it for 1-3 business days. Some banks process faster than others. If you have Bank of America or BECU, it's usually faster than smaller credit unions. The next time you're stuck in adjudication (hopefully never!), you can use Claimyr to get through to an ESD agent right away instead of waiting nearly a month. I was in the same boat in January and used their service - got through to an agent in 20 minutes after trying for days on my own. Check out their video to see how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3

•I have Chase so hopefully it'll be fast! And thanks for the tip about Claimyr. Saving that link for the future because dealing with ESD's phone system was a complete nightmare.

dont count on anything from ESD when they say "paid" it just means they aproved it not that the moneys actually sent my brother in law waited TWO WEEKS after his claim said paid!!!!

•That's not typically how it works. If your brother-in-law waited two weeks after status changed to paid, there was likely another issue with his claim or banking information. The standard processing time is 48 hours for ESD plus bank processing time. Exceptions exist but are rare.

Quick question related to this - when a claim goes from adjudication to paid, does that mean all the issues are resolved forever? Or can they come back later and say you owe that money back? I'm in adjudication right now for 3 weeks and getting nervous.

•Once your claim is approved and paid, that specific issue is resolved. However, ESD can still identify other issues later or audit claims up to 2 years afterward. If they discover something like unreported earnings or eligibility issues, they could issue an overpayment notice. But if you've been honest and accurate in your weekly claims, you should be fine.

Chase is actually pretty good with ESD deposits, I usually see mine the very next day after it switches to paid. You should definitely get it before your rent is due Monday unless something unusual happens.
