ESD claim showing 'pending' after submitting required info - will benefits arrive Monday?
So frustrated and worried about my ESD claim right now! My weekly claim status changed from 'processing web' to 'pending more information' yesterday, but I already submitted all the documents they asked for the day before. All my payment amounts are showing up in the system, which seems like a good sign? Usually my benefits get deposited on Monday, but with this 'pending' status, I'm freaking out about whether the money will come through on time. My rent is due next week and I CANNOT be late again. Has anyone experienced this? If the system shows the payment amounts but says 'pending', does that mean it's still going to process normally? Do I need to call ESD or just wait?

don't panic yet, mine did this 2 weeks ago. went from processing to pending after i uploaded my income verification. the money still hit my account on the regular day. the pending status sometimes takes 24-48 hrs to update even tho theyre actually processing your payment

•Oh thank god! This is the first time I've seen it switch to pending after submitting docs. Did yours actually update back to 'processing' before the money arrived or did it stay on pending even when you got paid?

This is a common ESD system behavior. When you submit requested information, the claim status often changes to "pending more information" while their system processes what you've submitted. Since you can see the benefit amounts calculated, that's generally a positive sign. In most cases, if you submitted everything they needed, your payment will process on schedule. The online status sometimes lags behind the actual processing state by 1-2 business days. In my experience with ESD, if all the numbers/amounts are showing, your payment is likely being prepared for Monday deposit.

•IDK about that... my claim got stuck in pending for THREE WEEKS last month even though I sent everything they asked for!! The system showed all my payment amounts too but nothing came through until I finally got someone on the phone. Sometimes their system just gets frozen on pending for no reason.

If u just submitted the docs they might need time to review them. The pending status doesn't automatically mean delay but it *could* mean they need to manually verify something. I'd give it till Monday morning and if nothing hits ur account by then, DEFINITELY call them asap! The payment amounts showing up is usually good but not a guarantee. The ESD system is notoriously glitchy at showing statuses.

•That's what I'm worried about... I really can't afford any delays right now. Do you think I should try calling them tomorrow just to be safe? Or will that just waste my time if it's going to process anyway?

This happens ALL THE TIME with ESD claims! Their system updates are like 2 days behind the actual processing. I wouldn't worry unless Monday comes and goes with no deposit. Even then, sometimes it takes until Tuesday for the bank to process it. Breathe!!

I've worked with ESD claims for years, and this is standard procedure. When their system says "pending more information" after you've submitted documents, it means a claims specialist needs to review what you submitted. If all your payment amounts are calculated and showing in the system, it typically means the claim has been pre-approved pending that final review. The critical factor is WHEN you submitted the information. If you provided it before their weekly processing deadline (usually Thursday), there's a good chance your payment will process on schedule. If it was after the cutoff, it might be delayed by a week. Unfortunately, there's no way to know for sure until Monday arrives. If you don't receive payment by Tuesday morning, I would recommend contacting ESD directly.

•Thank you for such a detailed explanation! I submitted everything Wednesday afternoon, so hopefully that was before their cutoff. My fingers are crossed for Monday.

If you're really worried and want to talk to an actual ESD agent (which might give you peace of mind), I'd recommend trying Claimyr. After spending days trying to get through ESD's phone lines, I used their service and got connected to an ESD agent in about 15 minutes. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. Much better than calling 100+ times and never getting through. The agent I spoke with was able to tell me exactly what was happening with my pending status and when I could expect payment.

•I've never heard of this service before. Does it actually work? It sounds better than spending hours on hold.

THE WORST THING you can do is call them!!! If you call, they might FLAG your account for REVIEW which can delay everything by WEEKS!!! Just wait until Monday. If nothing arrives THEN you can worry about calling. ESD's system is totally broken but interfering sometimes makes it worse!!!

•This is not accurate information. Calling ESD does not flag your account for review or cause delays. While their phone systems are often overwhelmed, speaking with a representative will not negatively impact your claim processing. It's important not to spread misinformation that might prevent people from seeking assistance when they actually need it.

I'm in the same boat right now actually. Mine switched to pending yesterday but I'm just gonna wait til Monday and see what happens. Last time I stressed myself out for nothing. The pending status doesn't always mean anything bad.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I'll wait until Monday before panicking. Sounds like this happens a lot with ESD's system showing 'pending' even when things are actually processing normally. If nothing shows up by Tuesday morning, I'll try using that Claimyr service to get through to someone. Will update here once I know what happens!
