If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing about the maximum - make sure your employer reported your wages correctly to Washington ESD. I had an issue where one of my previous employers under-reported my wages and it affected my benefit calculation. Had to get that corrected before I could get the full amount I was eligible for.

You can log into your eServices account on the Washington ESD website and view your wage history. Compare it to your paystubs to make sure everything matches.

This is really important advice. Wage reporting errors are more common than people think and can definitely impact your benefit amount.

Thanks everyone for all the info! This thread has been super helpful. Sounds like $999 is the max but most people won't qualify for that amount unless they were making really good money. At least now I know what to expect when I file my claim.

You're welcome! Just remember to file as soon as you become unemployed - there's no waiting period to file and you can't get benefits for weeks before you file your initial claim.

0 coins

Good point, I'll make sure to file right away if I end up needing to use unemployment benefits.

This has been such a helpful thread! I'm bookmarking it in case I ever need to file unemployment in the future. You never know when layoffs might happen.

Smart thinking! It's always good to know this stuff ahead of time rather than scrambling to figure it out when you actually need it.

0 coins

Agreed! I wish I had looked into this sooner instead of waiting until the last minute.

Final reminder for the OP - don't delay filing once you're unemployed. Every week you wait is a potential week of benefits you could lose. Washington ESD doesn't backdate claims very often.

0 coins

Noted! I'll file as soon as my last day of work happens. Thanks for the warning about not waiting.

0 coins

This is so true. I know someone who waited a month to file and lost out on several weeks of benefits because of it.

0 coins

Bottom line - if you've been working part-time for 8 months at decent wages, you almost certainly qualify. The work requirement isn't as strict as people think.

Thanks everyone for all the help! I feel much better about my chances now.

good luck with your claim! the hardest part is usually just getting started with the application process

Appreciate it! I'm going to file this weekend and see what happens.

I work in HR and deal with unemployment claims from the employer side. Sometimes the delay is because Washington ESD is waiting for the employer to respond to their requests for information. Employers have 10 business days to respond, but many take longer or don't respond at all. If that's the case, Washington ESD will eventually make a decision without the employer input.

0 coins

That's really helpful insight. I wonder if that's what's happening with mine. My old company wasn't exactly known for being responsive.

0 coins

Very possible. The good news is that if the employer doesn't respond, it usually works in the claimant's favor.

Whatever happens, make sure you're keeping track of all your job search activities. Even though you're not getting paid yet, you'll need to show that you've been actively looking for work once benefits start. I had to submit my job search log retroactively and it was a pain to reconstruct.

0 coins

Good point. I've been applying to jobs but not really documenting it properly. Better start keeping better records.

WorkSourceWA has a good job search tracking tool if you need help organizing it all.

If you're still having trouble getting through to Washington ESD to verify your eligibility, that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier really does work. I was skeptical at first but it got me connected to an agent in under 10 minutes.

0 coins

Did you have to pay for that service?

0 coins

There's a fee but it was worth it to avoid spending days trying to get through on my own. The agent was able to look up my wage history and confirm my eligibility right away.

0 coins

Bottom line: if you've been working steadily for more than 6 months and earning at least minimum wage, you'll probably qualify. The exact calculations are confusing but most people who work regularly meet the requirements.

0 coins

That's reassuring. Thanks everyone for all the help explaining this!

Yeah this thread has been way more helpful than the Washington ESD website.
