If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I tried using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier and it actually worked great. Was able to talk to someone at Washington ESD in about 12 minutes when I had questions about whether I filed too early (spoiler alert: you can't file too early, only too late). Definitely recommend if you need to talk to someone quickly.

Good to hear another positive experience with that. Might try it myself if I run into issues.

Bottom line from someone who's been through this multiple times unfortunately - file the day after your last day of work. Period. End of story. Don't listen to anyone who tells you to wait. You'll thank yourself later.

Crystal clear advice. Thanks to everyone who responded - I'm definitely glad I asked and even more glad I already filed!

The timing of when you file matters too. If you wait too long to file after becoming unemployed, you might miss out on some benefits since they don't always backdate to your last day of work.

0 coins

How soon should you file after losing your job?

0 coins

As soon as possible, like within a week if you can. Don't wait thinking you'll find something quickly - you can always stop claiming if you get hired fast.

Thanks for all this info everyone. Really helpful to understand the system before potentially needing it. Sounds like the benefit amounts are reasonable but the process itself can be challenging.

0 coins

Exactly. The financial support is there but navigating Washington ESD's bureaucracy takes patience. Good luck with your job situation!

0 coins

Thanks! Hopefully it won't come to that but at least I'll be prepared if it does.

For anyone reading this later - Claimyr is legit. I was skeptical at first but when I couldn't get through to Washington ESD for weeks about my claim questions, it was worth trying. Got me connected to an actual ESD rep who cleared up my confusion about filing timing.

Good to know. I'll bookmark that in case I need it.

Bottom line: don't overthink it. File your claim the Sunday after your last day of work. Be prepared for the waiting week. File your weekly claims on time every week. Follow the job search requirements. It's a process but manageable if you stay on top of it.

Thanks everyone. This has been really helpful. I feel much more prepared now.

0 coins

Good luck! The process is annoying but you'll get through it.

The most important thing is to file ASAP and keep filing weekly claims. Even if there are delays or appeals, you don't want to miss out on benefits you're entitled to because you waited too long to start the process.

0 coins

Definitely learned that lesson! Filed as soon as I could after reading all this advice.

0 coins

Perfect! Now just stay on top of your weekly claims and job search requirements while everything gets sorted out.

Hope everything works out for you OP. The uncertainty is the worst part but at least you got the ball rolling quickly.

0 coins

Thanks! I'm feeling a lot more confident about the process after getting all this input from everyone.

Just wanted to add that the benefit amount is based on your gross wages, not your take-home pay. So don't use your net pay when trying to estimate your benefits.

0 coins

That makes sense. I was wondering if I should use my salary before or after taxes and deductions.

0 coins

Definitely use your gross pay. Washington ESD looks at what your employer reported to them, which is your gross wages.

0 coins

One more thing - make sure you're available for work and actively seeking employment. If Washington ESD thinks you're not genuinely looking for work, they can deny your benefits.

0 coins

There are some programs that allow you to collect unemployment while in approved training programs, but you'd need to get approval from Washington ESD first.

0 coins

The Training Benefits program is what you're thinking of. But you have to get approved before you start school, not after.
