Document everything about your job searches too, not just employment history. Washington ESD can ask for detailed job search logs and you want to show consistent effort across all your unemployment periods.
This whole thread is making me feel better about my own situation. Good to know chronic unemployment is recognized as a real thing and not just personal failure.

Good luck with your claim! Remember to file your weekly certifications on time once you get approved.
And don't hesitate to use resources like Claimyr if you need to talk to someone at Washington ESD directly. Sometimes having a real conversation with an agent can clear up confusion quickly.

I tried calling Washington ESD about my eligibility last month and it was absolutely impossible. After days of trying, I ended up using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier. Worth every penny to actually talk to a human being at ESD who could answer my questions directly.

Bottom line: 8 months of work should definitely qualify you for unemployment benefits in Washington. The bigger challenge will be actually filing and managing your claim, but you cross that bridge when you come to it.
