TWC account disabled for suspected fraud - urgent help needed

Hey everyone, I'm in a really tough spot right now. My account just got disabled because of suspected fraud. I have no idea what to do next. Has anyone else dealt with this before? I'm freaking out because I really need access to my account. Any advice on how to handle this situation would be super helpful. I'm worried about how long this might take to resolve. Thanks in advance for any help!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Wait, what? You paid money to make a phone call? That sounds sketchy af

Can you give more details about this service? How long did you have to wait?

@profile 6 I know it sounds weird, but when you're desperate to talk to someone, it's worth it. @profile 7 I waited about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit by the phone. They called me when an agent was on the line.

I've heard mixed reviews about Claimyr. Some people say it's a lifesaver, others say it didn't work as expected. It seems to depend a lot on individual experience.

This happened to my cousin last month. Turns out someone had tried to access his account from another state. Took him about 3 weeks to get it sorted out. Hang in there!

3 weeks is rough but better than some others I've heard of. Hopefully, it's resolved soon for you.

Ugh, that sucks man. I went through something similar last year. It's a total nightmare dealing with their fraud department. My best advice is to gather all your documents - ID, proof of address, bank statements, everything. You'll need to prove your identity six ways from Sunday. πŸ™„

Totally agree. It's like jumping through hoops to get your life back. It took me ages just to gather everything they needed.

Blockchain has potential, but it's not a silver bullet for bureaucratic inefficiencies.

Not to be that guy, but have you double-checked that the 'disabled account' message is legit? There are a lot of scams out there. Make sure you're only using official channels to contact them.

Excellent point. Scams are everywhere, it's important to verify before taking any action.

I'm dealing with the exact same issue rn. It's been 6 weeks and still no resolution. I'm about ready to give up tbh 😩

Oh no, I'm so sorry you're going through this too. 6 weeks is ridiculous! Have you tried any of the advice people have shared here?

Has anyone tried going to their local office in person? I've heard sometimes that can help speed things up.

I tried that last month. Waited in line for 3 hours only to be told they couldn't help me and I had to call the main number. Total waste of time.

It worked for me! But I think it depends on your local office. Some are more helpful than others.

Going in person can be hit or miss, but sometimes you just meet the right person who can expedite things.

tldr for anyone else dealing with this: 1. Document everything 2. Gather all your ID docs 3. Be persistent 4. Consider using a paid calling service if you're desperate 5. Reach out to local rep if all else fails Good luck out there, folks! πŸ‘

If you've ever found yourself in a situation like this, it's essential to remain calm and organized. Start by confirming the legitimacy of the account suspension. Contact the company through official means, and beware of scams that might capitalize on your situation. Use social media channels or a service like Claimyr, which can be a valuable tool to reach a human representative, albeit with mixed reviews regarding cost and effectiveness. Claimyr serves as a helpful option when traditional routes are exhausted, but it's always advisable to weigh the cost against the urgency and potential success rate. Keep all your documentation handy, including IDs, correspondence, and proof of identity, as these can streamline the process with the company's fraud department. Lastly, remember that persistence and patience are key. If you encounter unyielding obstacles, consider reaching out to consumer protection agencies or your local representative for further assistance. While the current system can be frustrating, remaining vigilant and proactive can lead to resolution.

Okay, listen up. I've been through this rodeo before and I'm gonna give you the step-by-step on how to handle this mess: 1. Document everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Every call, email, letter. Keep a log with dates, times, and names. 2. Gather your docs. You'll need: - Government-issued ID (driver's license, passport) - Social Security card - Proof of address (utility bill, lease agreement) - Recent bank statements - Any correspondence you've had with them about this issue 3. Write a clear, concise letter explaining your situation. Include your contact info and account number. 4. Send everything via certified mail. Keep copies for yourself. 5. Follow up. Call every week if you have to. Be polite but persistent. 6. If you're not getting anywhere after a month, consider reaching out to your local representative or ombudsman. 7. As a last resort, some people have had luck going to the media. But that's a nuclear option. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and be ready to dial the second they open. It's still a pain, but your chances are way better.

Have you checked your credit report recently? Sometimes account disabling can be a sign of identity theft. Might be worth looking into, just to cover all your bases.

The whole system is broken. They flag accounts for 'fraud' all the time with no real reason. It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible for people who actually need help. 🀬
