NYSDOL Account Lockout: How to Regain Access and Reach Customer Service?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting my account back. I've been locked out and can't seem to access it. Has anyone else dealt with this? I tried calling the number they gave me but I'm not sure if it's the right one. Any advice on how to get through to someone who can help?

PROFIT trust me, its like playing the worlds worst lottery, but it works eventually

Persistence seems to be key with this method. It's a bit of a gamble, but it might just pay off eventually.

It seems like there are many ways to tackle this issue, each with their own pros and cons. Tools like Claimyr.com can be very effective for some, providing a reliable way to bypass long hold times, but comes with a cost. On the other hand, persistence with traditional methods like calling early, visiting an office, or even utilizing your local representative can also yield results but require patience and resilience. Checking for unauthorized access and constantly verifying your account details is crucial to avoid setbacks. Lastly, maintaining a detailed record of all interactions can help build your case if needed. It's a multifaceted problem, but these strategies can help navigate through it. Remember, different solutions work for different people, and sometimes a combination might be necessary to reclaim your account. Always consider your resources, time, and effort before deciding on the best approach for you.

Has anyone else noticed that their system seems to "forget" information? I swear I updated my address last month and now it's back to my old one. It's like they're gaslighting us or something 🤔

YES! This happened to me too! I thought I was going crazy. Glad it's not just me.

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just give up and become YouTubers or something. Seems easier than dealing with this unemployment nightmare 🤷‍♂️

System updates can often lead to temporary disruptions, though in the long run they might lead to improvements. It's a wait-and-see situation.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. Saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take to get through? I'm desperate but $20 is a lot rn

It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to sit by the phone. They called when an agent was on the line.

I tried Claimyr too, and it worked well for me. However, I understand the hesitation due to the cost. It's definitely a personal decision based on how valuable your time is.

Ugh, been there done that. The system is such a mess rn. Have you tried resetting your password? Sometimes that works, but honestly, good luck getting anyone on the phone 🙄

I had the same issue a while back. Resetting the password worked for me eventually, but I had to try a couple of times. Keep an eye on your email for reset links.

Have you tried going to the office in person? Sometimes face-to-face is the only way to get things done with these clowns 🤡

I haven't tried that yet. Do you know if I need an appointment?

Last time I went, it was first come first served. But that was a few months ago, might've changed. Bring a book, the wait can be loooong 📚

Visiting in person is a good option, but be prepared for possibly long waits. Sometimes, though, it's the most effective way to get direct answers.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try resetting my password but no luck. It's like my account doesn't even exist anymore. So frustrating!

That sucks man. Have you checked if your email is still associated with the account? Sometimes they disconnect it for "security reasons" 🙄

Hey OP, have you checked if your account might have been hacked? I've heard stories of scammers targeting unemployment accounts. Might be worth looking into...

Listen up, I've been dealing with this BS for months now, so here's what you need to do: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every email, every interaction. You'll need it. 2. Try the password reset like others suggested, but also check your spam folder for any communications. 3. If that doesn't work, you gotta be persistent with the phone calls. Use the Claimyr thing if you can afford it, or just set aside a whole day to keep calling. 4. As a last resort, contact your local representative. They sometimes have connections that can help push things through. 5. Don't give up! The system is designed to wear you down, but stay strong 💪 Remember, you're not alone in this. We're all in the same leaky boat, trying to stay afloat. Good luck!
