TWC Texas: Trouble submitting new unemployment claim online with old claim history - How to upload paystubs?
I'm having trouble submitting a new unemployment claim online. The system isn't letting me progress past a certain point. I have an old claim from a few years back, and I'm wondering if that's causing issues. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, I need to submit my paystubs but I'm not sure how to do that through the online portal. Any advice would be appreciated!

Listen up, folks. I've been dealing with EDD for years, and here's what I've learned: 1. Old claims can definitely cause issues. You might need to call and have them manually close it out. 2. For paystubs, log into your UI Online account and look for "Upload Income Documents" under the "More Services" tab. 3. If the system keeps freezing, try using a different browser or device. Sometimes it just doesn't play nice with certain setups. 4. ALWAYS save copies of everything you submit. The EDD has a talent for "losing" documents. 5. If all else fails, you gotta bite the bullet and call. Try early morning or late afternoon for shorter wait times. Remember, persistence is key. Don't let the system wear you down. You got this! πͺ

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try switching browsers and looking for that upload option.

Pro tip: Take screenshots of EVERYTHING. Every page you fill out, every confirmation, everything. It's saved my butt more than once when dealing with EDD shenanigans.

As for the issues with an old claim causing problems, itβs definitely possible. When systems arenβt updated correctly, they can show conflicts with data. Regarding Claimyr, itβs a legitimate service that many have found helpful. However, be aware it is a paid service and not everyone may be keen on spending extra money. If you decide to try it, weigh the cost against the potential time saved. For uploading paystubs, check in your account settings for a document upload option, often labeled under income verification or similar. If unsure, the FAQ section of the website or contacting customer service might yield answers, albeit with the dreaded wait times. In any case, perseverance and patience tend to pay off in these situations. Good luck!

Hey OP, quick question - when you try to submit your new claim, does it give you any specific error message? Might help narrow down the problem.

Katherine Hunter
No specific error, it just... stops. Like it's loading forever but never goes anywhere.

Hmm, sounds like it could be a server issue on their end. Might be worth trying again during off-peak hours.

I've had similar issues when my internet connection was unstable. Maybe try resetting your router?

I swear, dealing with unemployment is like playing a game where the rules keep changing and no one tells you. It's RIDICULOUS!

Hey, I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken π€

I feel your pain, buddy. The unemployment website is like trying to navigate a maze blindfolded. π€¦ββοΈ For the paystubs, there should be an option to upload documents somewhere in your account settings. If you can't find it, you might have to call and ask for help.

Thanks for the tip! I'll look for that upload option. Hopefully I can figure it out without having to call.

Good luck with that call, lol. You'll probably be on hold until next year. π

If you do end up calling, try calling right when they open. I find the wait times are shorter then.

Ugh, the online system is such a nightmare! I had the same issue last month. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with weird glitches.

I second this! Clearing my cache worked wonders for me when I was stuck at a certain point in the application.

Anyone else feel like we need a support group for dealing with EDD stress? π© This stuff is seriously anxiety-inducing.

Omg yes! I'd join that group in a heartbeat. Maybe we could all chip in for a therapist π

Hey, has anyone tried reaching out to their local representative's office for help? I've heard sometimes they can cut through the red tape faster.

I did this last year! It actually worked pretty well. Took about a week, but they got things moving for me.
