PA UC website login problems - wrong password error today despite correct credentials?
Is anyone else getting locked out of their PA unemployment portal today? I've been filing my weekly claims without any problems for the past month, but when I tried to log in this morning to submit my work search activities, the system kept saying my password was incorrect. I KNOW it's the right password - I've been using the same one since I opened my claim in January! I've tried clearing my browser cache, using a different browser, even typed it super slowly to make sure I wasn't making a typo. Nothing works. Is the UC website having technical issues today or should I be worried my account got hacked or something? I really need to file before Sunday deadline!

Same thing happening to me right now! Been trying since 8am. After 5 attempts it locked me out completely and now I have to wait 24 hours to try again. My weekly certification is due tomorrow. This is so frustrating - why can't PA UC ever get their tech right?!?

There's a system-wide maintenance happening today that wasn't properly announced. I spoke with someone at UC yesterday about my claim and they mentioned the system would be down intermittently for updates between 7am-2pm today. Try logging in after 2pm and it should work fine. They really should put these announcements on the login page instead of surprising everyone.

When this happened to me last month, I had to call and have my PIN reset. Turns out sometimes their system automatically expires passwords even if you've been using them regularly. Super annoying. I spent THREE DAYS trying to get through on the phone lines before I finally gave up and used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to connect with an agent. It did work for me. You don't give them your claim info or anything - they just connect your call to UC and then you talk directly with the agent yourself. It was the only way I could get through after trying for days on my own.

this happens ALL THE TIME with pa uc site!!! ive been on unemployment 3 times in past 6 yrs and EVERY TIME theres some stupid login issue. last time they told me it was a "browser compatibility problem" but that was BS cuz i tried on chrome, firefox AND edge!!! its just their crappy system. try again tomorrow morning, usually fixes itself.

There's actually a specific fix for this that worked for me - it's not just waiting it out. When the Pennsylvania UC system has these login glitches, here's what you need to do: 1. Clear your browser cache AND cookies completely 2. Close all browser windows 3. Restart your computer (this step is important) 4. Try using a different browser than you normally use 5. When entering your password, make sure caps lock is off and try typing it manually (not using password manager) 6. If you get in successfully, immediately update your password/PIN If these steps don't work, wait until after 2pm today as someone mentioned about the system maintenance, then try again following these steps. The system does sometimes force password resets at random intervals for security reasons, but it doesn't always notify you properly.

UPDATE: I finally got in! Followed the detailed steps from @profile2 and waited until 2:30pm. System is working now. For anyone else having this issue - definitely do a full computer restart and try a different browser. Thanks everyone for your help!

•Glad it worked for you! Make sure to save your work search information somewhere separate before submitting in case it happens again. The PA UC system tends to have these hiccups every few months, especially around the beginning of a new quarter.

Well the site's still not working for me and now I'm completely locked out until tomorrow. My claim is due TOMORROW. This is going to delay my payment, isn't it? I hate this system so much. Every time I think things are going smoothly something like this happens!!!

•If you're completely locked out due to too many attempts, you might need to call for a PIN reset. Since your claim is due tomorrow, I'd suggest calling first thing in the morning. Ask specifically for them to both reset your PIN AND put a note in your file about the system issues so your payment won't be delayed. They can make exceptions for technical problems on their end.
