PA UC Money Network card still not arrived - 3 weeks and counting
I was told over 3 weeks ago that they were switching to the new Money Network debit cards for PA UC payments. My old ReliaCard stopped receiving deposits and I haven't received the new card yet. Has anyone actually gotten their new card? Customer service keeps saying "it's in the mail" but my bills aren't going to wait! Anyone know how long these are actually taking to arrive or if there's a way to speed up the process? Getting desperate here.

Got mine last week after waiting almost a month. The frustrating part was that they already sent my payments to the new card while I was still waiting for it to arrive! When I called Money Network, they said cards were being sent in batches and there's a major backlog. Have you tried checking if your payments are already on the new card via the Money Network website? You can at least see if the money is there waiting for you.

•How do I check that if I don't have the card or account number yet?? This is so frustrating!

•When I finally got mine, it came in a really plain envelope that looked like junk mail! Almost threw it away. Maybe check your mail pile again?

If you haven't received your Money Network card after 3 weeks, you need to call PA UC directly and request a replacement card. The official timeframe is 7-10 business days for delivery, so you're well past that window. When you call, specifically ask them to verify your mailing address and confirm that a card was actually issued for your claim. Some people's cards were delayed because of address verification issues. Also important: once you do get the card, you'll need to activate it immediately and set up direct deposit to your bank account if you want to avoid using the card long-term. There's an option to do this through the Money Network mobile app or website. Make sure you're calling the right number for card issues: 888-233-5916 is specifically for Money Network card questions.

•Thanks for the detailed info. I've been trying to reach someone at UC for days but can't get through the busy signals. Is the address verification something I can check online somewhere?

I went through this exact same stress last month when they switched cards. After trying to call for days and constantly getting busy signals, I finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to a live agent at PA UC. They have this service that somehow gets you past the busy signals and placed in the callback queue. Totally worth it for me because I found out my card was actually sent to my old address even though I had updated it in the system. You can see how it works in their video demo: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 The agent I spoke with was able to expedite a new card to me and I had it within 3 business days. Apparently a lot of people are having issues with the transition.

•Never heard of this service but I'm desperate at this point. Did they actually help resolve your card issue or just get you connected?

They just got me connected to UC, but that was the hard part! Once I actually talked to someone at PA UC, they were able to fix the address issue and rush me a new card. I had been trying for over a week on my own with no luck getting through.

This whole Money Network transition has been a DISASTER!! I've talked to at least 5 people who haven't received their cards yet. PA UC keeps blaming Money Network, Money Network blames the postal service, and meanwhile WE CAN'T ACCESS OUR MONEY!! It's ridiculous that they didn't wait until everyone had their new cards before stopping deposits to the ReliaCard. I'm pretty sure this violates some kind of law about timely access to benefits. Has anyone considered contacting their state rep about this mess?

•I actually contacted my state representative's office last week about this very issue. Their constituent services person told me they've been getting TONS of calls about the card transition problems. They took my information and said they'd inquire with UC on my behalf. Got a call back two days later and magically my card arrived the next day. Might be worth a try if you're still waiting.

UPDATE: Finally got my card today! For anyone else still waiting, it came in a very plain white envelope with an Indianapolis, IN return address. Easy to miss as it looks like junk mail. Now I just need to figure out how to set up the online account...

•Glad you got it! To set up your online account, go to moneynetwork.com and click "Register." You'll need the card number and the CVV code from the back. Make sure you're on a secure connection when you do this. Once registered, you can download their app which makes it easier to track your payments and transfer money to your bank account if needed.
