PA UC Money Network cards - anyone received theirs yet in 2025?
Just got notified about switching to the new Money Network debit cards for PA unemployment benefits. Has anyone actually received theirs in the mail yet? I'm a bit worried because my last payment is pending and I'm not sure if it's going to the old card or will be delayed until I get the new one. The website says 7-10 business days for delivery, but that seems optimistic based on my previous experiences with PA UC...

Got mine yesterday! Took exactly 12 business days from when I got the email about the switch. Had to activate it through this weird automated system that kept cutting out. Make sure you have your SSN ready when you call.

•Thanks for letting me know! Did your pending payments transfer automatically or did you have to contact someone?

The new Money Network cards are supposed to be mailed out in batches based on the first letter of your last name. They started with A-G last week, H-M this week, and N-Z next week. Your payments should still process normally, they'll just be held until your new card is activated. At least that's what the customer service rep told me when I finally reached someone.

•Ah, that explains it! My last name starts with P so I guess I'm in the last batch. Did they mention if there's a way to check the status of the card delivery?

•Any payments approved before the transition should go to your old card. Anything processed after will be held until you activate the new card. Keep your old card until you've successfully transferred any remaining balance.

Just got off the phone with PA UC about this exact issue. For anyone struggling to reach a representative about the Money Network card transition, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got through to someone in about 15 minutes instead of spending hours with busy signals. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 The agent confirmed that any payments approved before your new card is issued will still go to your old card. You'll need to transfer any remaining balance once you activate the new card. They're sending cards based on last name alphabetically, and you can check your mail date by logging into your PA UC dashboard and checking the 'Notifications' section.

•Is this claimyr thing legit? Seems sketchy to use a third party service when dealing with unemployment stuff...

•It's just a callback service - they don't access your UC account or personal info beyond your phone number. I was skeptical too but after trying for 3 days to get through, I was desperate. Worked exactly as advertised.

THIS IS TYPICAL PA UC NONSENSE!!! I got my card but guess what - IT DOESN'T WORK! Tried activating it 5 times and the system keeps saying "unable to verify identity" even though I'm entering everything correctly. Now I can't access MY MONEY and the helpline has a 2 HOUR WAIT TIME!!! Why do they always have to change things that weren't broken?!?!

•Same thing happened to me! I had to call from the EXACT phone number listed in my UC profile. If you've changed your number recently, that might be the issue. Try calling from different phones if possible.

Update: My card finally arrived today! For anyone else waiting, it came in a very plain white envelope that almost looked like junk mail, so check your mail carefully. The activation process wasn't too bad - took about 10 minutes on the phone. All my pending payments were already loaded on the card, which was a relief.

•congrats! still waiting on mine... did u have to do anything special to get ur payments to transfer? or did they just show up automatically?

•They were just there automatically! I didn't have to do anything special. The balance from my old card didn't transfer though - I had to do that separately through the Money Network app.

My nephew got his last week but I'm still waiting on mine. Does anybody know if we can still use the old cards until the new ones arrive? I have about $340 on my old card I need to access.

•Yes, your old card remains active until you activate the new one. After that, you'll need to transfer any remaining balance from the old card to the new one using either the Money Network mobile app or by calling the number on the back of your new card.
