PA UC Money Network card delay - 2 weeks and still waiting - normal timeframe?

Has anybody received their PA Money Network card recently? I've been waiting over 2 weeks since my claim was approved and still nothing in the mail. This is my first time on unemployment and all my payments are showing as 'paid' in the system, but I can't access the money without the card. Should I be worried? Is this normal processing time or should I be calling someone? The website just says to wait but doesn't give a timeframe. Getting pretty anxious as bills are due next week!

Mine took almost 3 weeks to come last month so ur probably fine

Thanks, that makes me feel better. Did you get any kind of notification before it arrived or did it just show up?

The typical timeframe for receiving the Money Network card is 7-10 business days after your first payment is processed. However, with current mail delays, many people are seeing 3-4 weeks for delivery. Keep in mind that the payments are already loaded onto your account even if you don't have the physical card yet. If it's been more than 21 days since your first payment was approved, you should call Money Network directly at 888-233-5916 to check the status or potentially request a replacement. The PA UC office unfortunately can't track the card delivery - that's handled by the bank that issues the cards.

Thank you! This is really helpful info. It's been exactly 15 days since my first payment was approved, so I guess I'll wait another week before calling. I didn't realize I should contact Money Network directly instead of UC.

My brother waited 5 weeks for his card and almost got evicted!! The system is COMPLETELY BROKEN and they don't care that people are suffering without access to their benefits. I'd call every single day until someone helps you!!

While I understand your frustration, calling repeatedly doesn't typically speed up the card delivery process. The Money Network cards are sent through regular USPS mail and aren't expedited. The best approach is to contact Money Network directly after the 21-day mark, as they can verify if the card was actually mailed and can issue a replacement if needed.

Honestly the most frustrating part of UC is actually getting through to someone when you have a problem. I tried for 2 weeks to reach someone about my card (was missing for a month!) and kept getting busy signals. I finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got through to a PA UC agent in about 15 minutes. They confirmed my address was correct and had Money Network send a replacement card. Check out their video to see how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 Saved me so much stress since I was about to miss my car payment.

So we have to PAY a service just to access our own benefits now?? What a joke!!

I was skeptical too but after spending hours getting busy signals it was worth it to me. Not saying everyone needs it but if you're desperate to reach someone it's an option.

Just to add some practical advice - while you're waiting for your card, you can prepare by creating your Money Network account online. Once your card arrives, you'll be able to immediately link it and set up direct deposit to your personal bank account for future payments if you prefer that over using the card. Also, keep track of exactly when your first payment was approved (check your dashboard) as that starts the official clock for the card delivery window. As others mentioned, 21 days is when you should take action if the card hasn't arrived.

This is super helpful! I didn't realize I could set up the account before getting the card. And good point about tracking from approval date - my first payment was approved on June 12th, so I'm at 15 days now.

Oh wow, thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely check my mail more carefully. Would hate to throw it away accidentally after all this waiting.

Is your address in the system correct? When I first applied for benefits I accidentally put my old apartment number and the card got sent back. Had to verify my address and then wait another 2 weeks for a new card. Might be worth double-checking your info in the portal.

I just checked and the address is correct. That's a good suggestion though - would have been awful to realize that was the problem after waiting so long!

Just got my card yesterday after waiting almost 4 weeks! The system is so slow right now but at least the money is already there when the card finally arrives. Hang in there!

Thanks for sharing! Glad yours finally came. Hoping mine comes soon too!

UPDATE: My card finally arrived today! Exactly 17 days after my first payment was approved. The envelope really is plain white with just a return address from Tennessee - I almost missed it! Thanks everyone for your help and reassurance.

Great news! Glad it arrived without you having to make any calls. Make sure to activate it right away and set up your account preferences for how you want to manage your benefits going forward.
